Why would it be weird? You're both friends, and the whole holiday is about spreading cheer to those who you care for, ie: friends, family, humanity in general.

You must be pretty young to be uncomfortable with such a thing. You can show appreciation, even affection, for your male friends without it being 'gay' if that's what you're afraid of.

I guess that depends on how long you've been friends and if you've done it in the past and such. I'm considering getting my friend who got me into WoW a piece of 397 BoE gear for the hell of it.

Unless there is something more to this situation, I'm pretty stumped on why it would be weird. You're good friends and I know that I consider my best friend like a brother so somethings are overlooked like this situation.

Meh I have hugged male friends when they cry, bought them presents, brofist, chest bumped, got jiggy on the dance floor hell even slept in the same bed as them and all in a very hetro and unawkward way because you know, dudes can be close and not gay.

No I understand. I mean, how would you present it? With a fucking bow, gift wrapped, you smiling the entire time. You guys hug afterwards. He opens it, what could you give a guy whose your best friend? I mean, really? clothes? Dumb. Cologne? ... Sorry, but it would seem really wierd.
The best way to handle this without it seeming overly sentimental and therefore wierd is just toss him the gift, unwrapped, and punch him saying "merry christmas man".

My best friend is my ex-girlfriend who I occasionally hook up with, and I still get her Christmas presents. It's not awkward if you don't make it awkward. Share the bro love and get him a present.

It's not about being gay. It's moreso about it being awkward because we don't usually do stuff like that and neither does anyone else really around here. The gift coming via post on Christmas morning makes it that much more awkward.
