Seriously? That is pretty awesome, not gonna lie. I always click it in hopes that it will just drop me at a random spot on whatever planet I am in orbit around.

Now I can invite all my friends to my ship and make them all eject out during my space missions.

The escape pod is for when you are on a friend's ship and they go afk and you are stuck so you use the escape pod and it puts you on that planet you left from.
