Mage BiS

I am turning my Mage into my new main, and I figured I would spend the extra gold on epic gems for his BiS's. But I am just not 100% what are Mages (Fire) BiS (non herioc).

I see in this thread ( http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...4.3-Compendium ) that he has listened BiS Herioc, I am guessing those would be BiS either way herioc or not.

Any opinions. Thanks. Just want to make sure before I spend 4-5k on these gems.

This is true. http://www.wowhead.com/item=71472 with an 50 int gem would yield 316 int while http://www.wowhead.com/item=77088 is only 271.
