Bringing Achievements to the Account Level

Well, that means i only need a rare fish to get my Salty achievement. imagine crafting mounts will be restricted to knowing the skill although it would be very nice it my engineer could ride a magic carpet, a charger and a deathsteed,

Time to start running Kara on all toons rather than just my main.

as for the "cons" about "speed-farming" thing like at mounts and pets - at the end of the day you put the same effort into doing it, just can just get it much much faster.

Now just want BoA currencies and tabards

This is a much MUCH needed addition and i couldnt be more excited for it, maybe Blizzard does love us?! Any way i have a question that i didn't see specifically answered by the blue post, i am wondering if certain feat of strength titles such as 'the Insane' and 'Bloodsail Admiral' along with the vanilla battleground titles will be available on all characters? If anyone does know anything about this please feel free to post and clear this up for myself, and probably some other people too. Thanks!

I would also LOVE if they added, in addition to your suggestion of currencies and tabards, BoA transformation items such as Muradins Favor, archaeology transform items, Time-Lost Figurine etc, etc. I would love to re-roll or play one of my other characters but there are many things i have that are not counted as achievements, mounts and pets that i still very much want on my 'new main character'.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Bloodthirsty is a pure korean grind-style achievement, no skill whatsoever involved.

QFT and whose to say they raise the cap to 1million and award a new achievement called bloody bloodthirsty the bloodiest.

Does that mean that my 28,000 hks on my mage and over 30,000 hks on my paladin will now combine to give me a total of ~60,000 hks? This would be a tremendous help in terms of attaining my 'of the Alliance' title.

"the cumulative work of all your characters on those criteria will count." Looks like that as long as they're from the same faction (criteria), I guess yes (would be weird to kill 30k alliance players on a horde toon and complete "of the alliance").

Those mounts already work that way. I got my blue dragonhawk back in wrath by intentionally leveling professions up to the requisite skill needed to craft the mounts, making them, learning them, then unlearning the professions. You still possess the mount, but can't use it unless you have requisite skill.

These points are pretty much what I had in mind from the beginning of the account wide achievement announcement. It only made basic sense to me that these changes would be implemented from the start. It's nice to have the clarification though for people who weren't sure.

My main was fun to learn to play at first and I stuck with it. The more I played, the more achievements and pets/mounts I earned the more I felt chained to that one character. I still enjoyed playing others, but I always fell back on my overachiever. This will make a lot of altoholics lives so much easier. This is a godsend and should have been implemented when achievements first were in the very least.

Its exacly what i think too,but blizz like to feed the casuals...as always.

I'm increadibly excited about these changes, but in order to push me over the happy/giddy edge... I have to know if feats of strength will be account-wide.


If I could roll any alt and have realm first titles and black proto-drake, I think I would shit a $20,000 check written out to blizzard.

As I'm about to ding 85 on my twelfth character and tenth class and plan to also take a Monk to level cap, I would love to have an achievement for leveling all classes to maximum.

Brilliant change, particularly the tabard one. The thought of grinding out to exalted with the Sunreavers again was way too daunting a task and put me off touching my little hunter parked at the Argent Tournament, but now... well. This is very good.

wow, that's awesome. I might need some work with all of my characters to get 100% of all those sweet achievements.
