I normally don't mind LZ but this really isn't any outstanding at all. 6.5/10
And while unrelated to the music, lyrically it's unbelievable its the same band that released Stairway To Heaven, because these lyrics are atrocious, the same horrendous crap that glam metal and hard rock bands later milked to shit.
.5/10 I cannot understand how it is possible to listen to metal where all you hear is a loud grumby tone and no notes. You cannot understand a word they say, the guitar player is the only thing slightly redeemable about it. No offense to people who like metal, but seriously there are reasons why it's nearly a dead genre. Also I don't mind metal if they use the screaming affect a couple of times but not the entire song, sort of like growling in music.
- not the original song, original is DMB, but I do enjoy this version some.

Lols, if you don't hear the notes then how do you hear anything? You know, music is built of notes. If you cannot hear the guitar lines then I'd check your hearing because it is very clearly audible as this entire genre is based on guitar pornography pretty much. Also has one of the best fretless bass players in metal and even the bass is clearly audible. So I don't understand your problems. You can dislike stuff as much as you want but your reasoning is total BS and tbh I doubt you've even put any effort into trying to understand this kind of music.
Well, it is you who's missing out on great stuff so /shrug, but please don't ever claim metal is dead because frankly, metal is just great atm, with great new releases every year, most people who claim elsehow are people who are way too much stuck in the past and unable to grasp the concept of evolution or progression.
7/10 gave me a weird vibe.
Progressive "Djentcore"
Which is why I posted the genre name in quotes, VoM is generally referred to as prog or tech deathcore but I think what I said describes their sound pretty well, so... :P
Anyways, typing this little interjection here because I've already posted a song from this album (Eclipse) awhile ago (I think it was Winter Is Coming or With Passion And Power) which was also rated by you with a similiar comment and rating so you might want to check this album out, who knows, maybe you'll like it .
Rate the song above this post.
My reasoning for disliking is the 'singing' is dead awful, I can clearly hear the guitar notes, but as soon as I hear the 'singing' in most metal songs, which is basically pitchless screaming imo, it turns me off. You are welcome to like whatever music I have, and I didn't say Metal is dead, I said it's nearly dead. Yes there is new metal music and such, but less people know about it than most indie music. Again no offense, there is some metal I can take, but most of the screamo types kill my ears. I criticize the music on my own opinions and what I have heard from it, you can think differently that is totally fine, but don't criticize people for liking or disliking something. And again remember I said the guitar playing was what was redeemable about the song.
And on the song above
1/10, guitar playing is fine, and again I have a complete dislike for 'screamo' metal so no thanks.
EDIT: That was at the metal song, going to listen and rate the song above
7.5/10 Definitely a very cool song right there, I like it

Metal never really was mainstream, so I don't see your point?
Anyways you disliking Obscura was not what got me incited to type that but the attitude displayed which is a pet peeve of mine, nothing else.
However I'd like to say I find your rating habits to be weird.
Really, people should take it in mind that very few albums/songs/whatevers are that good enough to be a 10/10 and even fewer are so bad to worth an 1. If you are rating something with a 1, you are essentially saying it is worthless. And getting a well written and technically intricate tech death song called worthless because you don't like the vocals but actually compliment the guitar playing which makes 90% of that shit's worth seems kind of wrong to me, don't you think?
@Badpaladin
Hahaha, why did I expect the screamo comment to pull you out of your lair?!
8/10, I'm really liking it, I have to say, maybe it's just me but the vocal style reminds me a lot like Oliver Sykes' vocals on BMTH's Suicide Season which I could not stand at all, yet this one's pretty good.
@Firebane
4/10
It was too vocal focused and uneventful for my liking :<
And this (ie. BADPALADIN) got me in the mood for some more screamo!

4.3/10 - It was enjoyable until he started screaming so I will give it a 4.3.
And to the comment nothing deserves a 1. It really depends on a persons rating system, most people use a 7 as fairly good, I will use it as very good. I barely ever gives 8's, 9's, or 10's, and a 0 is the lowest rating, a 0 is saying a song is worthless (in my opinion of course). There have been some songs I would give a negative rating if I could (but they are truly horrible songs). And yes my ratings are biased toward's songs that 90% of the vocals is screaming or something similar, because I have never been able to enjoy that kind of music if I tried. Rating systems using 1-10 are usually flawed because people have different perceptions on what a number should mean. I would prefer rating systems to use words instead of numbers but unfortunately they don't.
