Neither of those. Surprised no one knows this one, one of the best games of all time!
Another hint - The franchise eventually got released for the ps2, in a fairly different genre and generally considered lower quality.

Not Legend of Legaia, no.
I'll give a hint (even though it's not mine): It was not released on N64 or Playstation. I figured this out right away based on the graphical style (neither of those consoles look so absolutely dreadful). I forgot people actually played other consoles at that time.
It is a Sega Saturn title, yes, but it didn't start there, it started on the Mega Drive. Some of the games in the series are first person dungeon crawler rpgs.
Shining Force 3, right?

Correct, though the specifics would have been good as SF3 is 3 games Shining Force 3 episode III. English fanmade translation FINALLY out after at least a decade of waiting \o/
Honestly I had no idea. I played what I thought was the only Shining force 3 way back in middle school on a Saturn we found at a yard sale for ten bucks. Came with Panzer Dragoon as well, both awesome games. My mind is kinda blown now, lol.
Also, I dont feel like posting a pic. Feel free to pinch hit.

Well if you don't wanna post.
There's no UI so I guess I can give you the hint of "ghost inmates"
(Also, confirmed for scariest level in non-horror game ever.)
You should get an emulator and try the roms if you liked it back then, all 3 games tie the story together from different PoVs(Synbios, Medion and Julian), it's awesome. Two of the games never got released outside of Japan so it makes sense that you'd not know them
If you still have it, you can sell it for 100€ now easily.

Jet Grind Radio, then. With huge pictures, I rarely see the little captions. I'm not googling anything by the way. Hell save for the bizarre looking hentai/anime games, I've known 80% of the thread right off the top of my head. It's been tough trying not to answer every picture that pops up to give other people a chance.
