Not sure why these posts are still going, I'm just following suit :P
Because people are actually curious if they can run the game or not and don't know about canyourunit.com. Posting your computer specs to brag isn't necessary.

    Intel Core i7 720QM (1.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache)
    6GB DDR3 1066MHz RAM
    500GB HDD
    nVidia GTS 360M, 1GB VRAM

Would love to know some imput to see if my laptop will run this game well or not. WvWvW is a slide show on the beta for me. Possibly optimization issues?

I really wish ANet would release a "recommended" system requirements rather than just minimum. Can I Run It website only goes by the minimum. With that said can someone tell me if I can run GW on medium settings at least. Or maybe low to medium.

    AMD Quad-Core A6-3400M Accelerated Processor
    6GB DDR3 1333MHz memory
    AMD Radeon™ HD 6520G
    Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

    Thanks.

Most likely BWE3 will be focused on optimization, and after it's finished and they've got a grasp of what they can do with optimization they'll release a recommended system requirement.

Right. I'm looknig to buy a new PC that runs GW2 with mid-high graphics. Would this setup do? I know next to nothing about PCs.

    3rd gen Intel® Core™ i5-3450 Processor (3.10GHz, 6MB)
    8GB2 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
    AMD Radeon™ HD 7570 1GB DDR5 Graphics Card

Just the one 128GB SSD? I would NOT live very long on that. Haha.
Then again, I'd personally never buy a laptop in general unless I suddenly randomly started travelling like crazy.
Gratz on the new PC! =P

My stuff usually doesn't take much space so it's good enough for now I'll still play with it plugged to my big screen and keyboard when at home, but I go back and fourth between my hometown and my uni room every weekend, and since my old desktop just exploded...
It was really hard not being able to play anything during the week for a whole semester :P

Is there an updated chart for computer performance? I am using a laptop with:

    2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel i7
    4GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 1GB VRAM
    1680 x 1050 15in Display
150GB Windows Partition (out of a 750GB 7200 RPM HD)

What kind of performance can I expect at native res? Has the game been optimized? I'm am trying to decide if I should pre-purchase for the July beta.

You should be ok for med/high, but it's hard to tell because the game hasn't been optimised. You'll definitely run it though.

I think I'll update my drivers and such and go ahead and pre-purchase! Will I be able to download prior to the beta? I have been avoiding GW2 news for a while now to make the time go by faster. But we are so close now!

You can start downloading as soon as you register your copy and make an account.

You can download without an account, ArenaNet allows people to openly share the client.

Well... i'd try and get a slightly faster CPU than the 3450, and the GPU in there just won't cut it, the RAM are fine tho.

Aim for something like this to ensure good performance for now and the forseeable future

    CPU: Core i5 3570 or 3550

GPU: Nvidia 670 or AMD 7950 (The bigger brothers of these are pricy still)
