Will my build work?

Hello everyone who happens to be reading this. Over the past couple of weeks I've been extensively planning a build which will be able to supply my gaming needs which are basically to have a PC which can run games with good FPS on high graphic settings on many games from Minecraft to Battlefield3. I have came up with my build after seeking help on these very forums so now I just need the all clear and I'll get started on making my PC.

You seem to be missing a Graphics card in there, you should really also add a SSD to a build of that caliber.

If your house is even remotely dusty, or prone to dust though I would advise to dump the HAF X and find a case that has removable filters. I have a HAF 932 and regret that it only had 1 filter (when I bought it) and even then I have to take the whole front panel off to clean it properly. I have since with some double sided tape, old binder clips (the spines that had the removable clear plastic "exterior") and some reusable air conditioner filters made removable filter for the rest of my system and fans. Oh shoot forgot to mention I already have my GPU sorry about that it's 4am in the UK kinda tired Thank you for that suggestion of a new case or making my own filters and I think I'll probably follow your path and make my own filters or even see if I can buy them separately because i'm really keen on the HAF X. So should this system work?

as the poster above is correct.

i suggest getting the Silverstone Raven RV02-BW its a great case with the 90degree flip of the motherboard, all fans and even PSU filters come with the case. and everything is easily removed. the only downside is the HDD bay is a little pain in the ass but a secret is to punch out the bays on the front of the case so you pull out the HDD cage out the front and not in the direction of the mobo. other then that its great. plus it only costs $169 atm on newegg.

PSU is massive overkill for a single card setup. Get a quality Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, XFX, or Cooler Master bronze+ rated 520w~ PSU. That's all you need.

Agree with the PSU suggestion.

I would also suggest picking up an SSD drive(crucial m4 128GB). It is the single biggest upgrade in a computer and you will never go back to standard HDD's!

You could cut down on your cooler(H100 is hardly better then the standard $30-$70 air coolers).

Currently I have an AMD ASUS EAH6770 but the whole reason I was planning on getting the 750W PSU is so that I can future proof because i'm planning on eventually upgrading this card to a better one and then going crossfire purely for gaming and thanks for the cooler suggestion I really didn't know which cooler to get so immediately saw this one with a lot of good ratings and went with it, any suggestions on these $80 coolers?

750W is no mans land. If you plan on going SLI/CF then get a 650W.

The difference between these coolers is pretty minimal so I would definitely go with one of the cheaper ones. The xigmatek Gaia provides excellent cooling/price and you can't really go wrong with that.

Your 6770 is going to bottleneck your system and will definitely not be able to handle BF3 on anything but low settings. I would strongly advise upgrading that asap.

The NH-U12P SE2 is also a good noctua cooler, costs about 50 dollar. Is a little smaller than the 140mm coolers but cools very well nonetheless.

I've took your advice and am now getting the AX650 PSU, Xigmatek Gaia and also changed the monitor to the non 3D slightly downgraded version which is significantly going to cut my price to somewhere around £850 for everything at the moment and another thing is I want to change cases because apparently the HAF X doesn't have removable dust filter so over time the dust will just accumulate and I was looking into the new AZZA genesis 9000 but apparently there not available in the UK as I can't find them anywhere. If anyone knows where I could find one in the UK i'd really appreciate it. And yes you're 100% correct about the GPU but I really can't afford a great one for now probably going to be a month or two before I can so the 6770 will have to do for now and i'm thinking about switching from AMD to GeForce and going with the GTX 690.

you don't need a 690 to play any current game. You could probably afford to get the 670 right now with all the money you are saving.

Decided to go with the 670 after a bit of research and I'm getting the ASUS model which looks really promising performance wise and it has a really nice look and cooling system. Thanks for the help guys my parts are on their way and now it's just about putting it all together, once again thank you!
