    Guess my name.

Pretty simple, provide hints and/or the origin of your name and we have to guess it.
Example lets say my name is John:
    Very common name.
Name of a king who ruled during the 12th century
Name of one of the 12 apostles in Christianity
    Has a Hebrew origin.

hints like "begins with J and ends with n" are not allowed.
    The rules are:
Only one simple but not too vague hint per post.
You are only allowed to post more hints when someone replies to your post with a guess.
You have guess the exact name of the person.
Once someone guesses the English version of your name if it exists you must hint the say the language that it was adapted to. (Sergio = Sergei (Russian))
If your name is a traditional name spelled differently you must hint that.
Now that I am done with the rules here's my hint:

I am named after a famous man whose existence is uncertain to historians.

No, it is not Robin although the origin is uncertain the name is associated with the British Isles.
P.S. you have to give hints for people to guess your name

    Jesus.

My name is pretty common in eastern europe but I don't have the -slav ending in my name. My name has also gotten more common recently in Finland. A painter from spain had my name with an accent on one letter.

Nope, the origin while unknown is unlikely to be Hebrew, maybe Celtic, Gaelic or Welsh . Is your name a variation of Nicholas?

No it's a shorter version of a slavic name without the -slav in the end. A german football player has my name, but with the -slav ending.

I'll give a hint: I have 3 names, and one of the recent US presidents had one of them.
