Survival, AMoC and how to start a fight?

Hello There,

I am looking for some advice on how to start out during encounters.

I feel we have a lot of buttons to push and i'd like to know how to start out correctly.


At the moment this is my opening:

prepot > ES > AMoC > Rapid Fire(+ trinket) > SS > SS > BA > SerpS > Stampede > Rabid

and then the usual, is this correct or is there anything that can be done better or that i need to prioritize more?

i do differently, besides the standard pre pot the rotation that i use to start a fight is

serpent sting, black arrow, explosive shot, cobra, cobra, (engineer gloves)murder of crows, after murder of crows finishes i use my agility use trinket stampede and rapid fire

then after rapid fire ends, i use readiness and then do rapid fire murder of crows again

oh and i use glaive toss whenever its ready for use

you want to stack as many procs under aMoC as possible.

I personally wait for searing words proc and then activate on-use to start aMoC, however im using lynx rush atm since it syncs better with flashing steel talisman.

Serpent sting is far down on the prio. I'd advice you to think of a new opener.

And all our abilities/pets should scale with our *current* stats now, so if you proc a 20 sec trinket buff, then AMOC, you'll have 20 buffed secs and 10 unbuffed. So yes, stampede etc will obviously benefit more from being cast during a buff (the more high DMG per cast abilities we use under procs, the better).

yup, i always stampede and lynx with searing words+on-use. The damage increase is very noticeable.

Sometimes i even get a scope proc on top of that and then i become a little happy at the 50k pet crits per rush :3

Thanks this will definitely make me rethink about my cool down staggering. Damn do Hunters have a lot to worry about this expansion.

Does Stampede and Lynx Rush update with your AP/crit dynamically or do I need to have those buffs prior to popping said cooldowns?

stampede does for sure, i'm not sure rather lynx rush is dynamic or based on when you casted it.

updates dynamically, a lot of times my scope procs in the middle and i see extra few thousand damage per rush while it's happening
