    Divine Star mostly suited?

I'm doing 10 mans atm. Just cleared normal mode, and I was wondering.
I seem to use Divine star out of the 3 talents the most. As for most of the fights, you're stacked up..
Except for Gara'jal I used Cascade. Probably semi fitting for Spirit Kings aswell..

What are people using on what bosses so far? What do you find the most suited for the situation? Mention 10 or 25m please.

    Divine Star, all of them.

Seriously, were stacked for every single fight...

Except for like one phase of Spirit Kings, but yea...

Divine Star is something like...5%...better (iirc?) then Prayer of Healing. It is slightly better, but Cascade offers a niche priests do not have otherwise - the option to hit spread out targets.

While you certainly can swap talents around every fight should you choose, Cascade is generally the best "suit."

our priests used halo on spread fights and cascade anywhere else (25 man) as healer
as shadow there is no question halo>>>the others

As much as I like cascade and (love) halo. Most of the fights you're stacked up to easy out healing. And no reason to use cascade in that case. Also, halo, I love it. But the problem is the positioning, and you need to be out of the raid. So healers will have to watch you, because you arnt in the group. Besides that, halo doesnt heal yourself either. Halo just needs too much extra hassle I think.
That 5% is that taken into acount that it's not group limited and an instant cast?

Halo insane mana cost and positioning requirement make me dislike this spell greatly. It does have a huge potential healing in best case situations, but it's the "when stars align" scenario. Can't forget lengthy cooldown, either.

So for me, it's between Cascade and Divine Star - switching between the two depending on the boss, prefering the former. Sure it doesn't heal nearly as much when you're stacked, but it still heals *something*, whereas Divine Star is completely useless when spread out. Of course, when there's no spreading - like Feng - DS is superior.

Also of note for 10-mans, Cascade's heal refreshes Renew in Chakra: Sanctuary... Very useful for supporting the raid heals if you're tank healing.

For fights where you're stacked you can bubble--->run out of the group halo run back in (assuming you have the bubble=sprint talent)

Not much downtime, and you can cast instants (like PoM) while running back in.

Or... you can use the Angelic Feather and do the same without spending 20k mana on shield.

Running out for Halo? Perhaps. But I found that even the GCD takes forever in healing intense phases. So I doubt i'll have the time for halo either. Does anyone know perhaps how much cascade heals if group up? Cant be more then DS right?

Since Cascade is explicitly designed to be used with the group spread out, and DS is explicitly designed to be used when you're clumped up... Without doing the math I can be pretty sure DS is better grouped.

Probably yes. But there's still tanks on range, and perhaps your Spriest standing a bit outside for his shadow halo. They could make it worth while. Also in fights with both grouping up and spreading out, cascade will still be the best option. Deppends where the most dmg is ofcourse
