Need some advice on trinkets (shadow).

I have done wow forum searches, google searches, and MMO-champ searches and cannot find trinket ratings anywhere! lol

Anywho, i am debating buying the darkmoon card but cannot decide which trinket i want to drop for it, these are my two currently:

    AND

    http://www.wowhead.com/item=87572

I assume i shouldnt use the brewfest trinket, as its proc is only 10 seconds. Is the darkmoon card worth spending 50k+ on?

H2P has Raid/PreRaid BiS Lists, it may help you make decision:

Nvm i found it browsing the forum. I was right that the globule was better than the brewfest trinket, but am surprised to see the shado-pan revered trinket higher than the globule.....i mean hell its on use is crit rating.

Would be interesting using that trinket and mindbender tho, both 1min CD's.....any thoughts on that?

The Darkmoon trinket will probably be best in slot for a long, long time. If you can get your hands on one of these, do it.

Currently, askmrrobot or whatever it's called is bollocks, so ignore that.

If you want to calculate the value of a trinket yourself it's not hard if you know all the information. You need internal CD of the buff and stat weights of the stats involved for both procs and static values.

DMC is worth the gold for it. It's really strong compared to the options available, and you'll more then likely use it even for the start of the next tier of raiding (beyond Sha of Fear). And between the two trinkets you linked, the Flashfrozen trinket is better then the brewfest one for 2 reasons. 1) It has hit which you can reforge to haste to obtain hit cap without sacrificing potential haste stats else where. 2) The on-use allows you control your dps much better for different stages of a raid encounter.

Hey, I'm from Ask Mr. Robot and wanted to point you to a page most people don't know about: http://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/trinkets/priestshadow
We take every trinket and simulate the amount of each stat you get from procs. That means we model out the ICD and proc rates, simulate a ton of fights, and see what the average uptime is. We then assign the average value of the proc stat to that trinket, if that makes sense.

    Proc comparisons across each trinket:
Flashfrozen Resin Gobule: gives 816 Int on avg
    Mithril Wristwatch: 911 Spell Power
    Relic of Yu'lon: 851 Int

So you'd be getting 35 more Int from the Proc on the Relic compared to the Flashfrozen trinket. And you'd be trading Int for Spell power on the Proc by replacing the Wristwatch. Now, you get a 5% Int buff passive and a 5% Int raid buff. So that 851 Int Proc on the Relic of Yu'lon ends up giving you 938 Spell Power. Then if you factor in that the Relic also gives you 956 Int (or 1054 after the 2 Int Buffs), it seems like a pretty nice upgrade.

Yeah, the Flashfrozen trinkets is actually abit better. You get alot of hit, and you can reforge other pieces to haste or crit, instead of dropping crit to hit/spirit to reach hit cap. You can also line cd's with the Flashfrozen trinket, and you get a longer int buff compared to the Mithril Wristwatch trinket.

And yeah, you should get the Darkmoon trinket, infact all spellcaster dps should get that trinket, since it's bis in the whole tier. I got it a week ago, and im using it with the Alchemy trinket, hope i can get the trinket from Elegon soon, so i can reach 8085 haste.

Personally I used the flashfrozen trink over brewfest trink, but they are both good. Like others have said, its nice when you can stack it with another proc like the dmc trink.

See my earlier post about askmrrobot. The numbers seem very far off for the DMC trinket. I personally don't trust that list after doing manual calculations for trinkets and also seeing many other sites / forums / sims all disagree with your weighting for the relic trinket.

AMR doesn't have the data for Light of the Cosmo's trinket either. Just be sure to check multiple sources on trinkets. Personal testing is always best
