    Battle pets periodic table

There are plenty of battle pets schemes through the internets but all they just linearly copies info from game or based on standart table with many empty cells etc. Using of such schemes is very time-consuming, not allowing to quickly give info on battle pets teams "on the fly" — just in the middle of one pet battle and another one.
And i was seeking for clear understandable and quick operational one, so i decided to compile my own.

This table allow quick info on building team versus another predefined team or part of it, or versus popular pet-team setups.
When you play at day you gain more random foes, but if you play later night you often stands against same player again and again.
This is good if you are doing well, but if not —

Central vertical column represents offensive dependencies:
    receives extra damage from
    /*/
    receives extra damage from

And horizontal rows represents defences of pet families:
strong defence against /*/ strong defence against

    For example:
Aquatic have strong attack vs. Elems
Aquatic have strong defence vs. Undead
Aquatic have weak attack vs. Magic
Aquatic have weak defence vs. Flying

For additional clarification how this scheme was created: we all know there is two rings — offensive and defensive (see Arkenaw post below)
If we try to combine both circles we get this 3D-system:

Then if we want to represent it on 2D space — we cut it virtually 10 times and receive that first image

Of course there many pets with different abilities, some of them from other families, but in general it gives you info about setup that will be more prepared versus some teams

    I also made "color-lite" version:

And grayscale version for printing (this can be helpful if you don't want to alt+tab):

I'm slightly confused by what the one on the right is.

    For example flying.

I know Flying is strong vs Aquatic (Above it), it's resisted by Dragons (left of it), and weak to Magic (bottom).

So what's the right column? And when you show the left and bottom one and say weak to and the top and right one and say strong to... what?

If I am understanding this correct, The right column is the pet family who is weak against the center columns attack.

So using your Flying example, Beasts are weak against Flying attacks.

Also Flying isn't resisted on Dragons, they are weak when they are defending against Dragon attacks.

Dragons resist flying attacks, actually. I know this because I swap in my Spirit of Competition anytime someone uses Lift Off.

Beasts aren't weak to flying, last time I checked.

I just realized that the right one is the type that the center type is weak to. So "Strong" just means that Beast is strong to Flying and Flying is strong to water and "weak" means Dragon is weak to flying and Flying is weak to Magic.

It's a horrible way to organize that chart though. Needs much better labeling.

It means that "Beast" type damaging abilities weak against Flying pets

    In other words:

Aquatic have strong attack vs. Elems
Aquatic have strong defence vs. Undead
Aquatic have weak attack vs. Magic
Aquatic have weak defence vs. Flying

    so chosen pet family in the center column always stronger than upper and right pets;
and weak against lower and left pets

Yeah, i have started with similar two circles while playing on MoP beta.

But thats what i want since then: combine this two circles together

If we cut this combined circles to pieces we get table that i humble presents above

I updated first post with new images (now all pet families match their english names properly: Water now Aquatic and Dragon now Dragonkin) and more information added about how this scheme was created and how it works.
