its not worth breaking your policy for any player tbh, especially when its walcott.

I hope it starts how it finished. Chelsea winning every 1 on 1 and completely dominating. If we didn't have Torres sent off, we would have won that game imo.

First time I've seen United, come to the bridge to counter attack. They're scared of us and quite rightly after the first 30 minutes. Glad to see Sturridge will get a chance now.

Going for the 4-1 win to the Blues.

I think this is an important game. The winner of this game will be favorites to win the cup. With so much lower league opposition in the next few rounds, I think the 1/4s and semis will be fairly easy.

See rule four at the start of this thread. You know better than to use that term.

ALWAYS beware the lower league opposition in the cups, thinking it's gonna be easy is the first step to the press conference appologising for being knocked out by a team who's entire set up costs the same as your striker makes in a year.

Spotted those, wasn't going to mention them, but this Clattenburg issue is only going to get ugly.

So I'm going to nip it in the bud. Discussing it is fine, disagreeing with each other is fine, but stick to reported facts and keep it civil. Personally I don't want a repeat of the ugly back and forth we had after the Suarez issue in last season's thread.

Jesus, you could not write this stuff, especially after last night.

Clear penalty though, terrible execution, worse goalkeeping.

Our 2 CBs are still playing well though even though they gave up 3 goals like they are against Hazard, Mata and Oscar

Gotta think this isn't how Chelsea wanted to play it, bringing on players from the starting XI for the second time in 3 days with a tough away fixture in another 3 days time. Add on to that this match is now going into extra time, you don't see De Gea, Ferdinand, Evans, Carrick, Cleverley, Scholes, Young, Valencia, Rooney or Van Persie in the squad, let alone the starting XI tonight.

United's youth and reserves have put on a hell of a performance against some of the best players in the Premier League.

When Anderson came off that was the main playmaker. Still, great run out from a lot of players who you don't get to see much of in the season, and on both sides. Bertrand has been pretty impressive for Chelsea.

Bloody good match, United's youth and fringe players did themselves no disgrace tonight against a strong Chelsea side.

Shouldn't have been 5-4 on paper. Chelsea were awful defence wise, it's amazing how much of a linchpin Ashley Cole is.

Luiz is the weak link in Chelsea's back four, and he got exposed pretty hard tonight by Anderson (who is due a first team callup after tonight's performance. This and the previous round vs Newcastle were both excellent outings from him) But I'll leave the dissection of the Chelsea team to their fans tonight.

Buttner, Wooten and Keane looked out of their depth tonight against the likes of Mata and later Hazard and Oscar, however Powell had a good showing in the second half. Hopefully they'll have opportunities again this season without having to go out on loan in January, there's potential but it needs experience. Tonight did them no harm whatsoever.
