to this day, nearly 2 years later, no fanboi has offered up one shred of anything to counter it so we're where we've been, one side with proof, other side with emotion, no point in discussing it for the millionth time really. it's profitable, it was in response to their database being compromised internally (based on google activity about people wondering what to do when they're hacked in wow, based on the internal fraud specialist blizz hired whose job isn't to prevent it but to fix it when it hapens, based on a few other things that really leave nothing to the imagination)
also, no, no info blizz has requires them to tell you they've been hacked/compromised/whatever. you can't find any laws in any state or country that says otherwise because it simply doesn't exist
