Ambershaper as aff?

Hey everyone,
My 25m guild currently working on Ambershaper. I'm just wondering what you aff locks are doing on this fight. I had a few attempts that ended around 120k or so, but average was around 100k.

So I guess my question is, what are you guys doing? I'm trying to keep dots up on everything, but since you can't get full shards off the Amber Oozes, or w/e they are, than it is really difficult to keep everything dotted. Well, its not hard to keep it dotted, but there is no time really for MG, at least not in my own experience.

Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks

If your strategy is right you won't really see your DPS number ramp up until the very end. Here's a video:

I usually prefer Aff, but in this fight I had the impression Demo was doing somehow better. But this is from a 10 man raid PoV. Don't know the differences to 25 man mode.

Can't remeber, if the Blobs were giving Shards/Embers, if so that fight might be good for Destro, but that's just a simple thought about it.

The reasons, why I chose Demo over Aff for this fight was obiviously the cleave with HoG and our not ideal tanking positions, forcing the raid into too much running.
This video could give you the idea, why Demo was in this case superior, but may be in general for this fight the inferior choice:

There may be lots of room for improvement.

BTW: People were complaining about missing castbars/actionbars while being transformed. Has anyone found out, which addons do not bug for this case?

The blobs don't give shards/embers.

And elvui didn't transform my bar, so I was running around trying to cast corruption while being transformed. Very annoying wipe caused right there >.<

Elvui works fine for me on that fight. Make sure you are using Action Bar 1 as your main bar.

i kinda like demo on that boss
good to help passiv with killing blobs, easy to multidot and if they woudn't let me die every time you do pretty good dmg

missing addons bar prob:
- elvui
- bartender
- blizzard standard

oh wait jeah we had all 3 seems more like a blizz internal bug then a addon /rl helps in most cases, i allways got a form switch, sadly i just had it once .. kinda like playing icc professor add again
