    destruction:sacrifice or supremacy?

Ive seen several different guides claim one or the other. Which is best for destro?

    Sacrifice.
But Supremacy might be a better choice for a mediocre player on a single target fight with poor Ember optimization.

Depends a great deal on reforges. If you're heavy mastery for Aff, Sacrifice. If you're reforging for Demo OS, roll crit and supremacy.

For clarification, what Zum is talking about (correct me if I'm wrong) is the huge amount of cleave damage Destro gets with Havoc'd shadowburns on adds. Sac buffs this damage insanely, while with a pet you just get the steady pet damage on a single target.

As others have said above, Sacrifice. All the talents are supposed to be roughly balanced around each other, but Sacrifice is not balanced around all the cleaving that destruction can do.

It's based almost entirely on how much you have to move during the fight and whether you can cheese the DPS meter by Havocing adds. The two are virtually equal, or at least close enough for it not to matter.

In a fight with lots of movement you don't want to use Sacrifice because there will be many times when you're doing very little or no damage at all. Having a pet on a high movment fights means you continue to deal damage when you're not able to cast.

You also have to weigh the decision of having an extra heal+stamina buff from your Imp. DPS is not as important as staying alive.

On the other hand, heavy movement fights usually have adds you can cleave and KJC is being changed for 5.1.
Also, sacrifice voidwalker gives last stand which helps you to stay alive during an oh-shit moment.

I don't think you quite understand the power of Destro's cleave. It isn't about "cheesing" the meter. It's about be able to use the highest DPET spell on the boss above 20%, and possibly gaining burning embers in the process. Or at worst firing out 2 CBs instead of 1.

Sacrifice is a huge bonus for that, and supremacy just can't compete with it. Frankly, it just goes back to GC's comments about making DPS talents period (which I think is a bad idea) . . . there will always be one that is optimal and the others won't matter.

Im currently using sacrifice and im stacking 320 mastery gems instead of int gems it seems to be working much better and im pumping more dps out than normal
