Elder Charm - Anyone know the maths?

    Hi all,
Does anyone know the formula that the mechanic uses to determine if you get loot from using a coin?

    Like...

    (# of usuable items / total # of items) / x

Or something? Is there a factor to change the chance between 10 and 25s due to the different number of items dropping?

Last I heard it was a 15% chance to get an item, then it chooses a suitable item from the loot table at an equal chance.

So 15% chance to win an item, boss has 3 items on the loot table for your spec = each item has a 33% chance to be obtained, once you're past that initial 15% chance to win an item.

I could be entirely wrong on this though.

This what I believe to be true too.

I believe I've seen a bluepost with the 15%, but not on the second part.

Ah okay, so it's less complicated than I thought

Just a flat 15% then divided by # of usable items.

    Thanks for the replies!
