Join the 21st century and buy a freezer with an ice maker.

    I use Ice cube bags.
Cute but I wouldn't use them unless they were reusable. Seems silly to me. lol

This, however, I would love to use: http://www.quirky.com/products/274-Cube-tube-ice-tubes

I think I am moreso other, although semi-gravity.

I run the water with the faucet directly over the center of the ice cube tray. Once the pocket that the faucet is directly over is full, the water overflows and goes into the other pockets as well. Sure, a lot of water goes off the side too, but this is just always the way I did it.

What if I told you that some people do their dishes by hand instead of using a dishwasher?

Now that's a serious question. I get an aesthetic pleasure in seeing the ice cube tray fill up pocket by pocket. Gravity method is too strange, revolting almost.
Rincewind: Ah! We may, in fact, have reached the root of the problem. However it's a silly problem and so I am suddenly going to stop talking to you.

Do people not have ice machines? I thought it comes standard with all freezers.
I rather have two trays in my freezer than losing an enormous amount of space for a built ice machine, it's already filled to the brim as it is.

    I don't.

yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!(we have it built in the freezer )

You can't be very old, or you're not in charge of the finances in your home lol, you'd be surprised at how very few people have enough money lying around to afford that, they aren't cheap.

Besides, I'd rather have more room, ice trays take up almost no space and they don't break as easily.

My question is why the hell are there tutorials on this? Has anybody ever not been able to figure out how to operate an ice cube tray?

Most people probably don't even know that running water over the back of the tray makes removing the cubes cleaner and easier.
