Well everyone knows English language, well most of the world population speaks English as their 2nd language. How many ppl do speak some other language if their primary is English. In High school we had French, German, Latin, English, and my own....

Think of all the jobs it could create in the measuring instrument world.

"Gamer" is not a bad word. I identify as a gamer. When calling out those who persecute and harass, the word you're looking for is "asshole." @_DonAdams

    Should? Yes. Will? No.

The metric units for measurement I would agree with, but I personally think DD/MM/YYYY is stupid. The month should be first, because when you say it out loud, you say the month and then the day. Today is December 13th, it is not the 13th December.

    Also that chart is dumb.

Sorry bro this makes no sence, it would have to be Year / Month / Day to be comparable to Hour / Minute / Second.

Your vehicle's fuel economy is roughly comparable to the space shuttle.

Why should we give up our culture just to satisfy European liberals?

No the English system is fine. Metric system is base 10 and English system is base 2. Both are very easy to use and there is considerable beenfit from knowing how to work in multiple number systems.

    And the expected happened...

Of note, our measurement system is not "our culture," it is an outdated system based on pretty much random scales, with no logic or consistency. Plus, it was developed and forced on the people by the British crown at some point.

The Imperial system is not base 2. Both inches and miles in distance don't fall into base two, nor does stone in weight, and I'm sure I could come up with more if I thought about it.

Actually thought about it, and no portion of the length measurements is base 2 at all.

OK read some of the posts. Guessing about zero people realize the English system is a base 2 system. Kind of important. I can see why ignorant people would think the English system is silly without knowing that little tidbit.

No, I do not want metric. I would rather not care neither way but it would cost way too much money to switch. If you want to learn metric nothing is stopping you, they are just measurements neither of them are right or wrong.
