Myeeeeeh, always was ambivalent about VIII. It wasn't terrible, but it was way too easy to cheese, and Squall/Rinoa is probably the least interesting pairing in the games since they developed actual characters for them.

The story wasn't bad, just kinda slow. VII was honestly slower, though. I liked VII more because Materia appealed to me more than the "magic as items and stat boosters" mechanic.

Draw magic was a drag, but i like the civil war back drop and the humour and story was good.

Eh, the last time I honestly liked the comedic relief character was in VI. Gau was hilarious, until you pieced together his backstory, then it was quite sad.

Then you had the "optional" characters, who still had nice backstories. Mog was such a boss, and Gogo was OP as fuck.

Whereas in most of the UK, Pub food has a decent chance of being at least sober-edible, and even quite good. Not five-star, but a nice dining experience.
