Compared to portsmouth, taxi prices in the hague are very high too

rofl, you know in all my years of living in portsmouth (and my 3 years behind a bar) I never had a problem with military lads. They were actually pretty respectful once I had laid down the law

Yeah, my dad was Navy, they never had a bad manners problem, its just when people try and start a fight on one of them without realising its a crew :P

My dad was pompey born and bred, so I knew how go about things. Bit of respect, make it clear you're not just another tart behind the bar/in the pub, and they really look after you. Had quite a few Navy/ex-Army in our pub as regulars and they were good as gold.
