[Frost] Weapon switching from 2H to 2H

Is there any disadvantages from using 2H Shinka (normal) for stronger disease application and more AoE damage, and then weapon switching to Starshatter (heroic) for single target dps?

Like i mean trigger any ICD's or suffer any penalites?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, when you switch weapons Might of the Frozen Wastes deactivates for 30 seconds. ToT works the same way. It also resets your swing timer.

If you're going to straight-up AE, switching to a weapon with Cinderglacier works great. But if you plan to switch back to single-target in the same fight, it's not worth doing.

Actually, it's not worth doing for 2H frost at all, since you lose fallen crusader. Strictly a DW frost thing.

Disease damage potency also refreshes upon application. Since we cast Howling Blast all the time, you're only increasing Blood Plague which doesn't hit for much in the first place :\

Well that is not much of a problem. Just macro weapon switch to abilities.

If there were no penalties, i would of done exactly this. Macro to howling blast (and some more like dnd). Then macro to obliterate (and possibly frost strike etc) to swap back.

Yep, and so would everybody else. That would suck. Luckily the devs stopped it.
