They are not the ones suing or going to trial. I think it may be the state or county itself. Like I said, I only know what was told to me over a brief 5 minute conversation. This is just being thrown at me and I have zero ways of thinking how to handle this right now. Of course we may not actually go to trial, I don't know, but if it does then all I can do is tell the truth and make them understand just what has been going on for the last 12 years, everything that I kept quiet about, to make them see just what she has been doing.

I kept it quiet that she was abusing me and my brothers, both verbally and physically, because I didn't want the family to split apart, but I guess I can't do it anymore.

So... the state puts your mother under your care while she is unstable. Then puts you on trial because you received no prior professional training on how to care for someone in that condition... what? I would counter-sue for not having her admitted under professorial care.

But I am a outsider in this thing, and dont pretend to understand any of it. So I am going to go back to pretending I am a bit derpy.
