I don't know. The problem is that there are a few things that I think just aren't that normal and I don't know if I might have to clear out some stuff from my childhood that actually really wasn't bad but that I have to think about even today, many many years later.

I know this exactly. Remember my bike trip I took in 2011? The reason I had done that was because I had so much baggage from my childhood. The place absolutely scared me and at times I could swear when I thought about it that I could hear laughter, as if that place was alive to me.

So after a rather odd trip down the free way and getting caught by the cops, I made sure that the next time I would do it I would make it there and I wanted to before my birthday, so on September 17 at 4 a.m. I took off, better prepared this time, and 12 hours later, almost on the dot, at 4 p.m. that day I got to my childhood home and really reflected on everything and now I don't have the same fears that I used to about that place.

Now I am not saying you must go through something like that, but I am saying that getting that stuff off your shoulders definitely helps.

It usually takes more than one session. I actually talk so much that the psychologist barely speaks the whole time, but I know there are a bunch of things that I wish to work on this year.

It is also not as easy as coming up with a "who you are" or "what's wrong with you", but they figure some things out over time.

I think there is two different cases of depression. This is all "this makes sense to me", so don't think of it as fact.

The first one is environmental depression. I'm depressed because my life genuinely sucks (not like those teenagers who seem to be depressed just to be cool). This could also cause a chemical imbalance, as I do eat very little, so there's probably something biological that is exacerbating the condition.

The second is a chemical imbalance that causes it. No matter how good your life is, you're always going to be depressed, because your body is just causing it. These are the cases where I think medication would help, if it can fix all those little things going on inside the body.

I disagree. Just because someone seems like they have a great life doesn't mean there isn't some outlying factors causing them to be depressed. I do not believe anyone gets depressed for no reason at all. The chemical imbalance is a result of depression. I also believe that people can control their emotions.
