There's no reason to insult a majority of the playerbase by calling them "Spastic". Also, I play because I want to, and not because I feel I'm forced to - so no, not "Milked" in any way. I play the parts of the game I enjoy, and ignore those I don't. Simple.

I definitely don't feel forced. I haven't maxed valor on a single toon in over a month (though I do usually hit 300 - 500), I sometimes cap conquest on my PvP's, and I level alts and do LFR...sometimes, if I feel like it.

Exactly my point. People are crying that there's so much content they are "forced" to do. That's utter rubbish - there's tons TO do, if you want to do it, I think people have just lost sight of the fact it's a game, and should be played for fun. It worries me.

stoneguards - taunt off each other, morchok - taunt off each other (well until it was stupidly nerfed and outgeared)
feng - taunt off each other and use a crystal, zon'ozz - tank and spank
gara'jal - taunt off each other and kill an add in spirt realm, yor'sahj - taunt off each other
spirit kings - tank and spank, move from crap like the rest of the raid, hagara - tank and spank move from crap like the rest of the raid
elegon - tank and spank while moving off the platform like everyone else, ultraxion - taunt off each other watch debuffs and push a button
will - tank adds do the easy as hell dance, blackhorn - tank adds, tank boss occasional taunting off each other
spine - tank either bloods or amalg
madness - tank corruption and taunts off each other.

so please explain what these pug killing tanking mechanics are thats killing your pugs given the above comparison to dragonsoul

I've been hearing this same argument over and over again, it's been said many times why players on even semi-competitive raid teams are expected to max out their valor each week along with doing a myriad of other things that keep your character's performance competitive. Just because YOU do not understand why that may be doesn't mean people aren't feeling that pressure.

I'm very happy about the upped difficulty of the normal modes, they are perfect for my guild.

The whole ''I feel forced into X'' is actually getting on my nerves. I remember when REAL gamers enjoyed the sense of acomplishment when they finally got through something, Blizzard learned that from Cata there was no sense of acomplishment, outside of Raiding, like at all. People like the OP, are the kind of people that I really wish would not play MMOs, from what im reading, he doesnt know what an acomplishment is, he just wants to be handed everything because he has GOD knows how many characters.

And no, I don't feel like it. I am having fun on my alts, and I do not feel it is better or worse than any other previous expansions in that matter. Also, what is stopping you on making a trade chat pug? So far I haven't really noticed a GM preventing me from doing that. But why can't you find one? Maybe it's because other people prefer the way it is done now? Queue for LFR and get in, while doing something else, instead of being stuck in a city to watch the trade chat until something suitable comes up.

If you feel milked, then don't let them milk you. It's a very simple solution.

If you had 10 alts in normal and heroic DS gear, you are far from casual. And use some periods. Damn.

I won't even attempt to parse out the original post but to comment on whether or not I feel like I'm paying too much for what I'm getting the answer there is a clear no.

In addition to that I should point out that the subscription rate has never been raised in eight years which means that the game has never been less expensive than now in terms of real dollars/whatever.

As for pugs? Yes, there are fewer and that's largely because of LFR and because it's early yet in the expansion. While I used to enjoy doing a pug now and again, the whole business of getting it organized and pug leaders who didn't want to take anyone who wasn't already over-geared along with people faking achievements, etc. isn't something I miss very much. I'm hoping that as we progress into the next tier and gear improves some the pugging scene will return a bit for normal mode raiding.

Early expansion is never a good time to be pugging in any case.
