Didn't you read? I use a full pyromancer set +9 (since I upgraded it for Quelaag's fight to have tons of shit Fire Res). I didn't bothered upgrading other armor I don't use, though I probably could use another light armor for that fight which grants more protection then the Pyromancer's ones... though since I don't get hit by him, I could even fight him naked.

Armor could just mean the chest armor you're wearing.

Wanderer's Manchette + 15 is the best piece of light armor gloves in the game. You don't need fire res for Quelaag, just dodge. :3

mfw Quelaag was one of the easiest bosses with Gaping Dragon taking first place.

Gaping Dragon is a pure joke xD.

Kalameet too if you ask me. Once I spended like 3 minutes trying to cut his tail, I learned how to telegraph every single of his attacks and he is unable to hit me. I even got how to make him use his tail smash more often so I could cut off the tail faster xD Although that depends a bit of luck too.

Ehhh... If you have the Shield of Artorias, you can still block everything (and barely make a chink in your stamina bar) except that with an overhead component to it. Obviously, I like being able to roll, but the heavy armor route is viable.

I wasn't saying it wasn't viable, just my take on the situation. I prefer mitigating damage rather than just straight taking it. That's why I use light armor in Dark Souls.
