This is a great idea, I'd be a rainbow on all of my characters, and only talk to other rainbow colored players.

    First transmog, now this.

    GW2 has recoloring, sooooo inconsequential.

I only have 250 or so dyes unlocked on this character - 150 more to go! You can't see all the uncommon and rare dyes in this shot, hero pane not big enough without scrolling. Can sort by Hue or Material as well as Set (colors appear differently on the material they are applied - leather, metals, fur, feathers, etc.)

    I didn't say that GW2 didn't have it.

I was merely pointing out that GW1 had it. Meaning a game that is just as old as WoW had it from the start.

Ah, ok - sorry I misunderstood.

I like that I can make dyes with cooking, in addition to finding the dye drops. TONS of hours you can spend on this stuff.

What were you really going to say when he responded in anger because you lumped him in a group with other people and insinuated they were all wrong? People don't like being lumped into groups.

I hope armor doesn't become less complex to let people dye their gear easier. That's overboard, especially when recolors exist of everything anyway.

At the most, AT THE MOST, I might want to see people being able to color the highlights as long as it colors the entire set (tier gear only), but that's it.
I see none of this in Guild Wars 2 and it's a HUGE hit!

@ the OP: I would LOVE to see them add some dyes in, even if they stuck to to the generic color spectrum.

That is, recoloring the Vengeful Gladiator Plate Gear to T6 Onslaught for warriors, for instance.
That would be a great idea.

Ok, so I didn't think my statement through quite well. But in all honesty I hope it never makes it in-game. Mainly because the urge to change my armour depending on my mood would eventually bankrupt me (hint at my low gold).

I must admit, I have occasionally xmogged gear just to make it look bad... in large part because I don't like the concept of xmogging gear.

You won't, but even so what's is it to you what other people choose to wear? I'd like to see less clown suits in game but people seem to love tier sets...

A feature that should be standard. In my opinion a shame, that it is not in the game. If they dont want to redo all the items, they should make it accessible in the next expansion, every item that is desinged there, should be colour changeable.

also, if you dont like rainbow colours or stupid combinations, what game have you been playing the last 8 years?

This is like many other features that are already in other games. Blizzard should start to impliment stuff like that
