Woah woah, Rondo top 10 League Player? Well yeah on the lower end, you're right you're right.

And you can't just tease me, I don't know you, you're new to this thread. If it was Skars or Jib or Conscript or Chadwix or Jreg or even Iced it'd make sense but I don't even know what team you like.

I agree, 2006 Mavs should have won. 2011 is...

    Edit:

Oh ya I got emailed this but this is the first time I'm posting from my desktop so it's a little late.

If Howard thinks playing with Kobe is too tough there's no way he'd want to play next to KG. KG is the only current NBA player even more crazy and competitive than Kobe. I'd say it's all but guaranteed Howard signs elsewhere if he ends up in Boston for the rest of this year and that makes it a very bad long-term move for the C's.

Lakers could rebuild around Rondo but they'd be giving up the rest of this season and the next few years they would be banking on the hope that a big 3 of Rondo, Kobe and Gasol could get it done (I'm assuming they trade Nash for some 3-point specialists if they end up with Rondo). While that team sounds pretty legit on paper with D'antoni's system, I just don't see them giving up on this season.

New to this thread? I've got posts in here going back at least 40 pages, plus I've been registered on these forums longer than you. But even if this was my first post, so what? When you first meet someone do you tell them "no jokes until we've been friends for 6 months"?

Eh even then Im not so sure.

(Not in order btw just off the top of my head)
    Kevin Durant
    Lebron James
    Dwayne Wade
    Kobe Bryant
    Dwight Howard
    Derrick Rose
    Kevin Love
    Carmello Anthony
    Chris Paul
    Kyrie Irving

You could also make cases for some others but these would prob be my top 10. If Dirk would start playing like his old self Id bump him up but as of now he doesnt look like a top 10 player anymore so hes out.

    I just saw this picture

And maybe its the fan in me but what jumped out at me was Dirk actually averages more playoff points per game than Kobe? Even as a huge Dirk fan I dont think I wouldve guessed that. Lebron and Durant don't really surprise me.

^ You put D Wade in there twice so you only listed 9 players. Also, I would put Rondo ahead of Irving. Even though Irving has better numbers this year, he's never led a team in the playoffs. Not that Irving wouldn't be able to do that (I'm sure he will at some point), but Rondo is a fully developed player who doesn't need time to grow so I'd take him over Irving if I was assembling a team to win right now.

Oh I did hmmm. Ahh I see it. I left off Chris Paul thats the one I meant to not Dwayne Wade #2 I'll fix it. You can also say Kevin Love hasnt lead a team to the playoffs, I think it should count against you but I feel that him and Irving are still superior players to Rondo. If you dont like them though I could see some real arguments for Parker, Westbrook, Bosh, maybe even Harden the way hes playing so far. Lot better than I thought he'd be.

I give K Love a pass for not doing anything in the playoffs because he was on the Olympic team and, you know, we need a token white guy in there. Rondo and Parker are the two I'd have competing for that 10 spot.

But even if you don't think Rondo's top 10, you can at least admit he's top 15 (or top 20 if you're really hard on the guy). Couple that with his contract that doesn't run out for a couple years and I still think he's more valuable than Howard in a trade.

Parker can score Rondo can't I'm not being biased or trying to be lulz but who would you want taking the last shot with 1 sec left on the clock.

I was looking at some stats and came across and old Clutch stat write up and according to this some years ago Manu was the most clutch player in the NBA lol. http://www.82games.com/clutchplay3.htm had to be old because Lebron isn't on there and Mcgrady is.

    Kawani Leonard.

And Neazy I don't know if you're joking or not if I don't know you! You can joke but lol I can't detect your sarcasm from just your post.

Not that surprising. A lot of of people forget Kobe was really really up and down the first few playoff trips. That's probably gonna hurt his numbers quite a bit alone.

    EDIT:

    For example, Kobe's first finals:

    15.6 ppg, 4.2 apg, 4.6 rpg on 36.7% FG, 20.0% 3P and 90.9% FT.

    Includes a 2 and 8 point game.

At the end of games? I'd take Rondo. I can't find any crunch time numbers for Rondo but watching him last year in the playoffs and a few games this year he was able to hit clutch shots. That's not something he's been doing for his entire career, it's a pretty recent development, but then again he didn't exactly need to hit clutch shots 5 years ago when Pierce and Allen were 5 years younger.

Anyway, as far as stats go over the past 3 seasons, Parker is getting ~6 more points per game than Rondo with a slighty higher (~4%) shooting percentage, but Rondo is getting 5 more assists per game and an extra rebound and a half over Parker. You also get a higher ceiling with Rondo; Rondo definitely outplayed Parker in the playoffs last year even though he wasn't consistently better than Parker during the regular season. I'd still take number 9 over TP.

I blew my plans off for tonight.

This Ellie Goulding performance fucking blows. Bitch is lip syncing so hard and you can't even hear her speak into the microphone. I think they had Flo Rida last year lol.

    ---------- Post added 2013-02-16 at 08:59 PM ----------

I knew Chris Bosh and Brook Lopez were gonna suck at shooting lol. It's a miracle Bosh won the finals. LOL when they said "these guys better hurry up or Russell Westbrook are gonna take their shots for them."

    ---------- Post added 2013-02-16 at 09:09 PM ----------

I wish they had Kyrie for this skills challenge, damnit. He'd rape the fuck out of this.

    ---------- Post added 2013-02-16 at 09:16 PM ----------

Tony Parker can't shoot 3s. Damian Lillard is skilled, I think he would have beaten Kyrie. Even though Kyrie is the man when it comes to Skills.

Lol at this stupid song "Home." I hate this shit.

They better fucking have Will I Am and Britney Spears tomorrow.

I suppose. Its still crazy to look at and see the top 10 playoff scorers (averages) of all time and 4 of them are playing right now in this era. And also how glaringly better Jordan was than everyone else. I still dont get why they are trying to compare Lebron and Kobe to him, its such a pointless discussion.

Kobe is more like Jordan then Lebron who is more like Magic. Everybody loved Magic everybody wanted to play with Magic, Jordan had a winning desire that is probably only matched by Kobe in these days not saying nobody else wants to win but Kobe feels like it's on his hands like Jordan where Lebron get's others involved like Magic to win games.

Cool Stat: Bird had 22 wins versus 11 loses against Jordan he also avg more points, ast, rebounds when they played against each other and was 2-0 against Jordan in playoffs.

I agree. It's so annoying when everyone is asked kobe, lebron, or MJ. That's all you hear pre game, during the game, and post game. Everyone is tweeting about it and it's all over ESPN. It's so silly to even talk about, waste of breathe. Since the Lakers are actually doing decent, and so many NBA teams are just sorry excuses for teams there is nothing else to talk about.

How about that OKC, Miami game. Holy lord OKC looked silly as hell. I don't know the number behind their salary situation but maybe getting rid of kendrick perkins and one other guy to keep james harden might have been the proper move. I'm sure KD, westbrook, and harden would be getting like 17 million a year like Lebron, dwade, and bosh. Miami made it work, OKC should have tried harder. Maybe those guys take less to keep Harden but he was sorely missed on Thursday.

Also, will someone please sign AI to a team. You can get him for dogshit money since he's essentially broke and I'm certain he can still ball. If nothing else it will fill the stands and your team will get to be on TV more.

Not to disrespect MJ, the basketball player, but he played at the perfect time. Had he been born 10 years earlier, he'd be playing the majority of his ball against the Showtime Lakers and the stacked as hell Boston Celtics. I seriously doubt he'd win six rings if this were the case.

I already didn't like Fallout Boy, that just sealed it with whatever it was they were trying to do.

Yep, dunk contest bored the crap out of me. When they give a guy a ten just for dunking the ball, nothing special, then you know it's sad. I'm talking about White, who supposedly could do it from the free throw line, but he didn't. They still gave him a ten. Innovative indeed....

Oh, and the winning dunk being one where he jumped over a kid that wasn't more than 4 feet tall? And who was bent over?! Really? Sad, terribly sad.

He was also blessed with the best coach in the history of the game, a top 50 teammate, always had shooters around him and a 7 footer in the paint as well. I guarantee he wouldn't of won 6 if he had the same situation 10 years earlier.

    Phil: No argument Phils great

Pippen: Hes not that great. I mean I know why you're saying that cause "technically" hes on the list. But if I honestly ranked the best 50 players ever in basketball Pippen isnt on it. Pippen to me is one of the most overrated players historically. He couldn't shoot, he couldn't take over games, and he was a jack of all trades but he didnt do anything exceptionally well, his best asset was defense and even then there were others that were better. If I had to make a modern day comparison hes essentially a bit better Luol Deng. So many places overrate him, it drives me crazy. I watched practically all the Bulls games growing up, there were much better players around the league than Pippen, his career high was what like 22 PPG? His average was closer to like 16-17 or something. (someone can look up these numbers if they want this is off my head) He gets credit for "revolutionizing" the game which I think is rediculous, you rank on who's the best not who was the most unique in that era.

Besides that are you trying to say Magic and Bird didnt have HoF teammates?

Shooters around him: What NBA team didnt? Pretty much every team has guys that come off the bench where all they do is shoot the basketball well. Matt Bonners, Robert Horrys, and such are on every roster.

7 footer in the paint: Again what team didnt? And Luc Longley was fuckin terrible anyways.

When it comes to vs Celtics and Lakers I think the Bulls would still fair pretty well. They had some really good teams later on, those teams that Skars was linking were early on Bulls teams before they were really good. Before Phil became a mastermind (or was even there for some), before Scottie became the legit #2 and before Dennis was rocking his skittles hairdos. Its not like the Bulls won because of lack of competition there were some really good teams and players out there, the Bulls and especially MJ were just better. I wouldnt count out any Jordan championship team vs anyone from any era. But truthfully you could make that inverse argument for anyone if you wanted. Russell wouldnt have won so much if he had to face Duncans Spurs. Magic wouldnt have won so much if he had to face todays Miami Heat. Kobe wouldnt have won so much if he had to face Jordan. Its really an endless and frankly somewhat pointless discussion.

Its much easier trying to compare players of different eras than it is teams.
