    10 HC - 5.1 / 5.2 Best raid setup.

    The title says it all.

What do you guys / girls think is the best setup currently in existence?

Here's my idea of ''The best raiding setup''

    Blood DK
    Prot Paladin

    Mistweaver
    Disc Priest
    Resto shaman (Ele OS)

    Hunter
    Mage
    Warlock
    Rogue
    Frost DK

    Feedback?

And please, only reply if you actually know what you're talking about.
    This is a genuine discussion.

Seems pretty solid, however I do not know why the frost dk is on there?!
It obviously depends on the fight as well, but as an overall best setup I think this one is great.
For some fights you may want a warrior tank or something.

The best setup possible would be to have every spec covered and being able to switch people in and out.

There is no such thing as "best raid setup" for a whole tier.

On Garalon cleave classes such as rogues and arms warriors are amazing, Wind Lord AoE heavy classes like survival hunter and affliction lock is great.
On Gara'jal Blood DK's are the worst thing there is, etc.

    My mods in bold.

Block tanks were superior this tier.
From what I gather, MWs have pretty terrible utility/healing cds.
I favor druid over shaman, but both are viable, just that balance > elemental. But if you are adamant about shaman, I find enhancement even better than elemental.

In your setup, hunter obviously runs with sporebat.

My choice of a Frost DK is simply because in my experience warriors have good damage.
But they're much like elemental shamans in the way that they have great burst.. but no substain.

Warriors just seems overall weak til the boss hits the 20% thrashhold and then becomes TA-DA! Super-Executioner.

So that is why I went with a Frost DK, rather than a warrior.

Seems solid enough, but why would you use two healers based on absorbs? Atleast one which masteyr favors it (Paladin)
Seem like that healing setup would need a healer that's half direct heals and half support-heals.

If so I would vote for:

    Holy Paladin
    Holy Priest
Resto Shaman (Shaman over Druids due to utilities such as 10% rec magic dmg upon Healing stream, and over all very strong AoE healing)

    Absolutly!

But this is far more ''complex'' than going ''Best setup''

This involes everything wrong covering all buffs to progression.
And by progression in this case I mean that no one shares loot exept for trinkets.

By using this setup, no one have to wait til next reset in order to get that item the other hunter won, etc.

i would drop atleast 1 melee and go extra range dps, melee has so many fights where they have disadvantages.

get rid of melee if you can for 5.2
only 2 fights where melee isn't punished and on those fights ranged are better anyways, atleast for heroic.
