[Movies] J.J. Abrams to direct Star Wars Episode VII

Im more psyched about Lawrence Kasdan directing a YODA based movie then I am about the new trilogy .

I would have like to seen these guys direct the new trilogy before JJ even though I like JJ's movies .

1: The wichowski brothers ( the matrix ..enough said )
2: Alfonso Cuarón ( director of children of men )
3: Joseph Kosinski ( he did a great job with tron )
4: Peter Jackson ( would love to see his version of star wars )
5: Guillermo del Toro ( also would love to see his version )

Abrams should bring in del Toro as a guest director to do a new Cantina scene.

So apparently Mark, Harrison and Carrie will make an appearance and the movie will revolve around their kids.

I'm not as worried about the future of the Star Wars universe as some people seem to be. Generally speaking, I trust Disney and their various subsidiaries to write and produce decent films and I enjoyed Abrams' Star Trek. Plus, realistically, there's no way the upcoming films will be as terrible as Episodes 1 and 2.

Not with JJ at the helm ...Lucas lost his touch literally after episode 1 ....in 1975,,,,sad we had to deal with his stupidity ever since .

Nice, I hope they don't screw up the casting for the kids, Ben and Jaina are 2 of my favorite characters. This is assuming they're going to use the characters from the EU.

I hope they use the expanded universe characters and don't create an alternate timeline. I haven't read much of the EU stuff yet though.
