Mulling over a big world change in a story I've been working on forever. X.x It's a tough choice...

I know that feeling. I have several things that I know are consistent problems, but I don't bother to change them due to either apathy, or just a general lack of willpower. I guess that luckily for me I can work around them most of the time, though that adds its own problem of bringing me into the mindset that I don't need to bother changing since a large enough problem isn't caused, even when it becomes apparent that that clearly isn't the case.

Part of the--ahem--problem is that I firmly believe that no character trait, no matter how extreme, is inherently a problem because, no matter what that trait is, it offers just as many strengths as weaknesses.

Which of course is in itself, perhaps, a problem, as it gives leave to never change anything about yourself ever.

I am strangely thankful that my friend tonight punched me hard enough to knock some sense into me, and not only make me realize but flat-out tell me what my rather ungainly character flaws are.
