They actually never gave a specific date, just implied the last week of February but then gave a statement last week thatwe would have enough time to collect 3k valor points (3 weeks) before the patch, which put it in the vacinity of a of a March 5/6th release, which is turns out it will be

Usually the PVP Season ending date = the patch date, and the new season starts up shortly after.

I really doubt Blizzard is gonna do a WoW patch on the same day as the new Starcraft xpac releases. It's possible but highly doubt it.

With the PvP season ending March 5/6, that means patch 5.2 goes live on the same day. One week later than first suggested isnt "way out".
