What do you expect. If GC announces a 1% nerf to an ability, you get 10 pages of people calling him the B-team, or that he did it because he got beat by that class in a duel, or whatever. They add something like pet battles, and every pvper or hardcore raider writes a novel about the dev team wasting it´s time.. etc.
If you play WOW, and you never played a card game.. then yeah, this is probably not an exciting announcement.... but only on these forums is it seen as an epic fail and the death of Blizzard.
Kids like to stay dramatic things.
Such a fucking stupid idea. Let's take resources that could be used to improve our game with failing replay ability and put it in to a game that panders to the 1% of people who actually play our horrible, shitty, fucking atrocious card game for more than just loot cards! YAY!
This isn't that bad of an announcement, it just seems silly to me that this is their "brand new idea" when they already have an existing TCG. It just seems to make more sense to me to just have an online version of the existing TCG. As for in-game rewards, that would be sweet, but I doubt that will happen.
Can't wait to get my hands on this. Looks like a good game to play when bored.
YOU GOTTA BUY CARDS? JUST LIKE A REGULAR FUCKlNG CARD GAME, NO FUCKING WAY, WHO WOULD'VE FUCKING THOUGHT
hrm I'm not sure what to say, considering that I can never buy the normal TCG in where I live... I'll just have to see how this game will unfold.
edit:
And iPad, so I'll consider further :POriginally Posted by melk0rpt

make it for Android also plz ...
Looks great, was always interested in the TCG, and was hoping they'd make an online game, since I don't want to invest that much money into buying packs.
This has to be an April Fool's joke. I'm not buying it (pun intended) Blizzard!
Exactly.
Maybe people are disappointed that it wasn't a bigger announcement (don't know why, it's fairly obvious any announcement of importance will be done at Blizzcon) but it's a free game, you can play or leave it, it's that simple really. I'm not into TCG but I will give it a go and play casually if its fun, will be quite interesting if there's WoW in-game incentives though.
It makes sense they are making games like this when there's such a massive boom in indie titles and free to play games. Honestly I think it looks great, and my doubt was shifted when the actual card battle was shown and the dude was commentating on what was happening. It wasn't over-hyped at all, I totally forgot about it until this morning. We already know they are making MOBA type game, so why would they announce that as a "new" title. This is nothing but a cool wee game in my opinion.
All the little kiddies raging is quite entertaining. Please continue! -popcorn-
As for Hearthstone, was never much into card games, but watching the game in motion...I gotta say I'm quite interested now.
Has a collectible card game EVER done well when translating it to a Video Game? I mean... ACTUALLY become more popular than its original physical card form? I'm not asking "was it translated well?
