not really, I never watched any batman stuff but IT took all of 10 mins to figure out characters. I only really have a semi-limited knowledge of gen 1, wont stop me from playing.

I mean...do I have to have a knowledge of Pokemon to be super effective in a themed game? I'll play if I don't need to read pages upon pages of pokemon backstory. I already have to read thousands of forum posts in our games =P

I don't see how knowing the mons would change anything over not knowing. Some mons might seem scummier than others or fit better roles or something but I don't see it as necessary :3

I really don't see the downside. I'd never played any of the Batman games or researched african animals but that didn't take anything away from the games. If it's a pokemon themed game, it takes like 3 clicks to find out everything relevant about any pokemon

I was dumbfounded that people had never heard of impalas. These are animals I knew about as a kid and this was well before I cared about African wildlife.

I have no idea. Foxxi is the one who is doing the main moderating as far as I know and she hasn't talked to me much in the last ~5 days. Last I talked to her was Friday, but we were doing an achievement run and while pokemafia did pop up, it wasn't really discussed. I hope to get to talk to her more soon about it, but I won't hold my breath as she doesn't talk much anymore outside of work :\

I hadn't heard of impalas either I'm not too worried about the pokemon game because the wiki has every pokemon ever so I can look them up if I need to.

Dibs on Scyther. I like bug types, though I'm not sure why. They're probably my second favorite type after fire. Water is probably my least favorite because after generation two, I haven't really liked any water types. Most were at best okay, far too many of them I thought were uninteresting. Also, generation two had three water based HM's, and I hate HM's with a passion. Lousy, second rate moves that take up a move slot and can't be forgotten without a lot of inconvenience.

I had a lot of RL personal issues come up that unfortunately kept me from the game, way more than I'm normally away. Area internet outage, getting into a car wreck due to sleep deprivation, all piled up together.

I would be interested in the next game and ensure that I am more active during it (though I work overnight so I keep more Euro hours than I do US hours)
