All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side

One thing I hate is all powerful/all knowing beings as enemies in any show/manga/anime.

You see it all the time in comics and such and my god they make the most boring of heroes/villains. You then get the fan bois from either side arguing whos stronger from this comic etc.

Reminds me of superman for some reason I dislike him as a super hero.

As for Mass effect, dont get me started on Tali and her no show of her face. makes me boil with rage as she was my LI in all my play throughs.

I'd rather have her face be a mystery than be disappointed by how she looks.

I'd also rather have all powerful/all knowing enemies than heroes. Superman for example, for anything to be interesting with this guy, they either need to be other Kryptonians (or something equally powerful) or add Kryptonite into the mix. It's better having heroes fight against superior enemies than vice versa. Of course, if the enemy groundtroops are weak (such as The Avengers), with a few more powerful enemies, then it's oke.

Superman as the bad guy would be amazing. Who could stop him?

Theres a couple of "fake omnipotents" such as Yuki, Alucard, and Dark Schneider who actually are reality warpers but true omnipotents are barely a handfew.
Mostly because its a wrap at that point.
And then theres the ones who think they are all that, but can eat shit.
I think its more common in DC/Marvel.

    Schröedingers face.

DC/Marvel comics follow the DBZ trend of inflating power levels like a retard.
Thank god for Deadpool, the ultimate antihero who, i am convinced, was created just to bring them down from their gary stue-ness.

DC/Marvel do suck with their heroes being over fucking powered all the damn time. I think X-men gets it mostly right in that they have powers but usually specialised in one area each (some have multiple powers) this makes them rely on each other rather than being superman.

DBZ, I think went a bit over the top in a lot of respects. Dragonball GT needs to die a horrible death. Dragonball Z at the end of the frieza saga was at its best. After that I didn't enjoy it nearly as much (oh look _EVERONE_ is a super sa.. yeh im done)

I prefer my heroes to have some flaws but generally rise to the challenge and win. A lot of anime "heroes" are whiney bitches who only man up at the last second. That annoys me greatly. Probably why I enjoyed fairy tale so much. It was predictable as fuck but every time a big fight came along Natsu almost always just said fuck it imma fight you. The one time you think he is scared vs an enemy its revealed he was only scared someone else might get to fight them first. cracks me up every time.

My number 1 character from DBZ, Vegeta. Guy was way more interesting than most of the characters. Shame he never really won a fight against a proper opponent.

Bah, typo in my quote (than instead of then). Not that familiar with Deadpool, but just read about him. He seems like a good character to do a movie about.

I like having powerful heroes, but they shouldn't be too powerful. DBZ might have had insane powerlevels, but take that away and it's pretty good. Opponents are always stronger and they need to find a way to beat him. Dragonball GT was a joke. Dragonball Z was still great, although the Majin Buu saga was completely different. A bit more humorish and less serious, for some reason.

The Frieza saga was great, but too long for my taste. I think the Cell saga was the best, when most of the Z fighters were Super Saiyans (always have to look up how to write that...) and they were trying to achieve level 2. Gohan has always been one of my favorites and the Cell saga had my two favorites (the other being Goku, obv) in epic battles with Cell. I also really liked Android 18 (even had a crush on her). I was so happy when Cell puked her out.

Vegata is the ultimate badass. Shame he never actually was the guy to defeat a bad guy. I really felt sorry for him in the Majin Buu saga when he sacrificed himself to destroy Buu only for it to be completely useless.

Havent watched much of DB (its all abridged) but when you defeat the guy that wipes big chunks of the galaxy (like the very first enemy in Tenchi Muyo...) and you fulfill an ancient prophecy, you STOP.
You reached the climax, the show is over, time to go home.

Ah yes fairy tail... No, those fights were shit.
    Enemy appears
Completly whoops everyone in a manner of seconds (even after 150+ episodes and saved the world 10 times over, you would think they would be able to fight...)
Bullshit power up (second origin, oh god why)
Round 2, natsu gets kicked around like a dumb puppy
    Close to death
    "My friends" speech
Suddenly the enemys magic stops working all of sudden
    FRIEND PUNCH oneshots the villain

The fight against Sting and the other dragonslayer had me cringing for days.

    Every. Single. Enemy.
    This shit isnt even funny.

And why is Lucy, the ever most worthless character to ever exist, always in the center?
Every doomsday device always hinged on capturing her.
No, it is NOT okay to ram the worst character down our throats.

Beelzebub had a MC with one punch KO too, but he was fun.
He didnt need to cry about this or that, he just saw someone getting in his face, and he fucking pummeled him.
Fairy Tail would be improved if they didnt feel the need to replace everything with "muh friendz" as a reason or justification for everything.

Frieza saga ONLY MINUTES REMAIN UNTIL NAMEK BLOWS UP. 20 episodes later ¬_¬

I felt the build up to frieza was great. The fight it self was stretched out a BIT too much tbh. the actual lore behind him as a bad guy explaining vegetas passed the legend of the super saiyan and goku fighting the man who kills his father was pretty awesome. Cell while a good saga just didnt sit right. hated the whole red ribbon idea. Majin buu..... hated pretty much all of it, I only enjoyed ascended gohans fight + vegetos fight (the most awesome fighter so far gokus natural ability with vegetas wit and combat thinking)

Still the Frieza saga for me was the best, purely because there was not 100000 Super Saiyans running around.

I do agree with lucy give her pom poms and shees the cheer leader.

Some of natus fights have been pretty damn awesome, but that dragon slayer fight urgh i hated it. Where was dragon force which we have not seen for freaking ages. :/ It was a bit of a cop out in fairness. They made these new dragon slayers out to be really strong but then natsu just rofl stomps them? I will admit that was a huge let down.

His fight against jellal relied on him eating that magic lacrima stuff which was a nice twist. more stuff like that would be better than the old "my friends" and power up.
but still I enjoy it for being a light hearted fighting anime. If I want something dark I can always watch blue gender.

Bardock was retconned, he didn't actually die when he was hit by Frieza's attack. He was thrown back in time a thousand years and he became the Legendary Super Saiyan. This I didn't actually learn till a few days ago.

Well if you think about it then there really isn´t much to talk about that we haven´t already talked to death in this thread in regards of ME.

Sadly we have no informations on ME4 so it really isn´t a lot to discuss about ME in general. At least I can´t think of anything that would be new and not already discussed to death.

Yeah I would love some infos on the next ME game but I think there won´t be any news in a very long time.

I could start discussion Nr. 1000 on Tali´s face but I think I don´t want to do that and it would be pointless

Decided to play a few games. Random queued for Silver and ended up being placed in a Plat Reaper match on Firebase White. We had two Juggernaut tanks, a quarian engineer and human adept (me). Sat in the corner throwing singularities and shockwaves while the two juggernauts blocked the doorways.

Oh yes the story of Bardock, they made a film about it didn't they?

As the story goes he was touched by some alien race who allowed him to have visions of the future. As a punishment for wiping out their people. So he can sort of see whats going on. He rebels against Frieza gets blown up and teleported back in time on planet vegeta. He fights Friezas ancestor who then spreads the tale of the legendary saiyan. While back in time he has some sort of vision of Goku afaik as well.

You select Silver and you end up in Platinum? How did that happen?

I haven't played ME3 MP since I unlocked the last remaining kits. Might play again some day, but right now, I have very little time. More interested in completing some other games' single player first.
