If Demon Hunter is the next hero class, What level do you think it should start at?

So. Theres alot of talk about DHs becoming a new Hero class in the World... Of warcraft.

Do you think it should start at level 1? Or like a DK be a set level like 55, 60, 70 etc?

I think it will be around level 70.

    What do you think?

It Demon Hunter is made as a hero class it won't start at level 1. No clue what it should start as though.

There's also alot of talk about blizzard shutting down the servers after this expansion.

See, I can make stuff up too!

65 with a introzone like the DK's so they can go straight to northrend after the intro.

i think demon hunters are dumb.

I want to see a real necromancer. I'd never quit this game again if a necromancer was added.

And no warlocks are not necromancers. I want my fucking skeleton pet.

This. You work for Illidan Stormrage (remember Blizzard like to bring the guy back, this is how!) as a demon hunter for the Burning Legion. Startzone is a giant floating rock close to Black Temple in Outlands (remember: you play in the past, so Deathwing still lives, Lich King still lives etc..). When you quest it appears that the former lair of Deathwing was on that piece of floating land. You fight black/twilight dragon whelps here, twilight cultists and demons ofcourse. When you reach level 69/69 (end of zone) you break yourself free from the burning legion and travel to the obsidian dragonshrine in Dragonblight as a accident of a quest (you were inside the lair of deathwing). From there your journey leads to Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord where you can help your faction.

If they were ever to be implemented I'd assume start at 65 in Outland, questing through Hellfire, Zangar and Shadowmoon, and quest alongside Illidan. Perhaps doing the RTS Story and actually follow Illidan's rise to become the Lord of Outland? You'd end at 68 so you can go into Northrend in the same way the DK's go into Outland.

Possibly have the final quest involve A'dal, and he sends you back to your cities with news that Illidan is defeated similar to how Tirion sends you back telling that the Knights of the Ebon Blade are no longer under the command of the Lich King. So the story would have a path like this:

Start off with Illidan guiding you, teaching you to become a Demon hunter. Have the story where you and Varedis are rivals and while Varedis was given to Illidan by Kael'thas, Illidan found you and took you under his wing (Not literally ;p).

Only by fans. Every official word on Demon Hunters is that they aren't going to happen.

1, no reason to gift lvls to ppl. Hero class is just some nonsense buzz word Blizzard used to amp up the launch of DKs.

Blizz denies everything til Blizzcon. I'm certain it will probably show a Demon hunter at Blizz.

We're gonna get Demon Hunters, Tinkers, Dark Rangers, 4th Specs, New Characters, Nagas, Ogres and a Legion expansion with South Seas and Emerald Dream incorporated. Blizzard will deny it, but I'm certain it will probably show at Blizzcon.

If implemented, they would have to be a hero class starting at a pretty high level. I think my Demon hunter thread has a version of how they would enter the game.

It also has specs, and a talent tree.

Doubt they will make ''hero classes'' like the DK again. Wouldn't surprise me if they just did a special world event where Demon Hunters just turn up around the world, and then added their trainers to all the usual starting zones for level 1s. (Like Human Monk Trainers eg)

55 seems fine. Means they can jump straight into Outland when they finish their intro quests.

Also means a slight revamp of Outland could be justified. Nothing big, just updating a few quests, improving droprates, improving the flow of certain chains.

I don't see why you would go straight to Northrend after starting zone as a Demon-Hunter. Demons are in Outland!

Highly doubt we'll get a new class two expansions in a row. Almost 100% certain we won't get a demon hunter, unless they steal the D3 demon hunters, WarCraft demon hunters were melee, and the last thing we need is another melee class. What we do need is another class that uses ranged weapons and mail.

Whatever class they put in the game next, should probably start at level 1.

65, and they'll start in Outland after Illidan's death. Makes sense.

Thing is though, DK's would've made MUCH more sense if they skip Outland and go straight into Northrend. There really isn't any other way to implement Demon Hunters without them coinciding with the fall of Illidan. Monks were slightly different, they were brought to SW/Org after being taught how to be a Monk and having to make a decision because of that and it made sense. They weren't tied to Pandaria specifically unlike DK's who were tied to Northrend and DH's which would be tied to Outland.

The thing is, Monks aren't specific to Pandaria. Sure Pandaren Monk trainers showed up everywhere, but there were NPC Monks in-game before WoW's incarnation of Monk was released. The issue with DK's is not that they are "A hero class", it was that they were so ridiculously overpowered and the reason given for it at the time was "Hero classes are supposed to be strong". I couldn't care what level you start, I personally would've leveled my DK from level 1 if I was given the choice in Wrath, but for the DK and DH stories, there wasn't any way you'd be able to show how they would break away from the Scourge and the Illidari without giving them a measure of power. It's like the item squish, there'd be alot of confusion and complaint if you went from being able to take on these almighty warriors of the Argent Dawn and Scarlet Crusade and then struggle to kill a level 6 Boar. Same for DHs, you'd go from killing Shattari forces and Burning Legion demons to feeding refugees in Westfall or killing Lions in the Barrens.

Personally I'd reckon it would be just after his defeat, A'dal will send you to SW/Org, saying that the Illidari are broken and you are the reason for Illidan being defeated. Something akin to Tirion sending you back to SW/Org saying that you're no longer under the Lich King's control and that you're being sent to Northrend to fight the LK.
