Who will be the next Warchief? Cast your votes!

I'm hoping for Baine. It'd be kind of nice to see a non-Orc warchief, and I'm not too crazy about Vol'jin or Lor'themar. Saurfang would be awesome, but I have a feeling he'd probably turn down the job unless there were absolutely no other way. A non-Orc warchief could also open up the possibility that cities other than Orgrimmar might actually become important in game again. Baine is also pretty much the opposite of Garrosh in terms of personality and how he'd lead the horde. He'd probably be a bit more like Thrall.

I don't think Thrall really has it in him anymore. After the whole Cataclysm thing, Aggra, his new kid, etc, he's already got enough on his plate. I would like to see him have some involvement in overthrowing Garrosh, but I don't think he'd really fit as the permanent warchief anymore.

A horde council, maybe, but I would only expect that to be a temporary thing if it did happen.

Why a non-Orc Warchief when every race in the Horde owes their existence to the Orcs, and when Orcs are the majority of the the Horde. The Orcs are the Core of the Horde, much like Humans are the core of the Alliance, and honestly, with all of this "Horde Council" "Non-Orc Warchief" nonsense, I'm starting to wish we got the treatment the Alliance did this expansion.

I am hoping that when the battle is dying down Sylvanas will enter and mop the floor with everyone, pulling off the ultimate coup d'etate.

Sylvannas is everything the Horde isn't, plus Blizzard said the next Warchief is going to come down hard on her and "her ways". Even Lor'themar tells her off (what a bro).

Lor'themar or Saurfang.

Lor'themar because well, he's awesome and I love what Blizzard has finally done with him. He'd be a good leader, though he may focus a little more on the blood elves if anything (not necessarily a bad thing, but I see how it could go wrong... again).

Even as a blood elf player/RPer, I'd have to say Saurfang. There are few people in Azeroth who can lead both the Alliance and the Horde's elite forces against the might of an Old God. And if the Burning Legion really is coming back like Wrathion says... Well, I just hope the Might of Kalimdor is up to the fight.

Also, Saurfang gives the most badass speeches.

I think even if Thrall offered leadership to Vol'Jin he'd probably decline the responsibility.

Saurfang wouldn't be interested in leading and while I haven't played MoP I would assume is still in Nagrand qq'ing over his son's body

You mean, like Garrosh right? He didn't want to be Warchief. Regardless if Council type leaderships are your thing, have you considered going Blue lately? I think it might be right up your alley

Lor'themar would be an awesome. However, people would be pissed. Also Lor'themar isn't fond of ruling his own people, let alone an entire faction. It'll be Baine, Vol'jin, or Thrall. Saurfang is too old, Rexxar hasn't been seen in a while, and there is no one else.

Vol'jin is the least likely. Vol'jin would never take the mantle. He would pass it onto Thrall, and if Thrall doesn't want to (or gets injured), it'll be Baine. I can't imagine Vol'jin actually taking the mantle of Warchief, but I can easily imagine him passing it to Thrall, or to Baine.

The arena fight wasn't pre wrath, it was Pre Cata. Thrall was on the ropes then Deathwing turned up.

Also, to Wildberry, I think as a temporary measure, there may be a war council until a new warchief is decided. That'll probably be the patch 5.5 content should there be one, and if not, be part of the pre expansion story to set up a new leader prior to the next big battles taking place, whoever they will be against.
