Great GPU choice! Gigabyte's new Windforce design on their non-ref cards is definitely a nice step up from the previous gen.

FYI I heard that that 770 4GB version suffers the same issue as the 680 4GB in that neither the GPU nor the memory bus can make use of the extra vRAM no matter how high the resolution (compared to the 2GB version). Only if you step things up to 2-way or 3-way SLI does the 4GB come handy at 1400/1600p or higher...your monitor is only 1080p.

$510 was pretty steep for the extra vRAM, did you buy it with future resolution upgrades and SLI in mind?

I'm still working on the watercooling as I'm still not 100% happy with it but I'm using a very old standard XSPC CPU block (Will upgrade soon!) & XSPC X2O 750 Dual 5.25” Bay Reservoir Pump V2 which combines both the reservoir+pump as the Corsair 500r really isn't watercooling friendly at all and this is the easiest way, it's pretty nice though with 55c full load temps with a 4.4ghz overclock.

I'll be upgrading to one of those monster Korean 27" 1440p IPS monitors asap as they're able to be overclocked to 120Hz and as you've already guessed, I purchased the 4gb one so I can go SLi in the future as well! I don't know about the issues though as it doesn't really affect me at 1080p atm.

Alrighty, finally got something going!
So I went to a convention and there was a Gigabyte and Cooler Master booth and they had great prices and giveaways.

My old rig was (prebuilt crappy Alienware x51):
i5-2320
2x2GB 1333mhz RAM
GT 545
1TB Seagate Barracuda
Dell mini-ITX motherboard
240w PSU


So I bought RAM, case, SSD, PSU, CPU cooler, and I was also given a FREE GRAPHICS CARD, so now my rig is:

CPU: i5-2320 (reused)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master X6
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-D3H
RAM: 2x4GB Kingston 1600mhz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 2GB (Got for free)
PSU: 600w Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular

SSD: 120GB Kingston SSD

That is a small fortune of cash spent on a whole LOT of Razer peripherals. Enough that it could have dramatically transformed that rig you just built.

+5% performance gain, louder (stock fan/config (H60 to H80i)) and you get Corsair Link™ ports... that's about it. ~4.5GHz and above the gain will bee bigger.

I'm not gonna use the fans that comes with the h80i.
