What is a Timewalker?

I noticed while going through the new icons there is one for a tabard labeled "Timewalker".



Anyone know about the faction it might be for?

It is a faction of mortals who help patrol and keep order in the timeline after the events of Cataclysm. They were first created for the TCG but Metzen has been on the record as liking the idea.

Dave Kosak mentioned in a interview with Blizzplanet a year or so back that the dragonflights are motal so they need help. Cenarion Circle for the Greens. Time walkers for the Bronze. Now that the Bronze dragons are mortal, nefarious mortals seek to use the Caverns of TIme for their own benefit. Kosak also said we wouldn't really see the plot in Mists of Pandaria, so the icon is curious.
