You're Next - 8/10. I went into this movie not expecting much, because I'm not really a huge fan of modern horror. I was pleasantly surprised. It turned out to be more of an action thriller, and it wasn't really trying to be scary outside of the couple of jump scares that existed. It was really entertaining, and I love some dark humor as much as the next person. I'd recommend it!

World War Z. 8/10. Nice take of a zombie movie.
Warm Bodies. 7/10. Another nice take on the zombie side of zombie movies. The main actor needs to get more roles in movies he is really good. Even the first season of skins proved this.

Watch it again, and play a drinking game where you have to take a a shot every time you recognize a scene or section of the movie that is influenced by another movie.

last movie i seen in the theater was The Wolverine, would have to give it an 8/10.

last movie i literally watched was Star Trek : Into Darkness, and i would also give it an 8/10. very few sequels these days, in my opinion, can match their predecessors in quality but i feel like the second Star Trek was just as good, maybe even slightly better than the first.

    Iron Man 3

Overall a good movie, not as good as the first 2 though. I did love that they gave him PTSD from the shit that happened in the Avengers movie, very good touch IMO. But I felt like they were stretching it to get a decent story.

Saturday night my brother and I decided to watch both the original Conan the Barbarian and the remake Conan the Barbarian starring Jason Momoa, to compare the two.

Overall my preference still stands, the original with Schwarzenegger is my favorite, I'd give that 8/10. The remake's ok, but the digital backdrops lack the charm and detail of the original's sets and on-location filming. I liked Momoa's take on Conan, he definitely brought the savagery, even if I don't think he's quite Arnold's match in the "barbarian brute" persona.

So 8/10 for the original, 6/10 for the remake.

    Sid and Nancy
    8/10

review: its an old movie, and i have watched it so many times now, and i cant get bored with it.
Its about Sid Vicious (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_Vicious) and how his life was. Most of all, it shows the love between him and Nancy, ups and downs.
The reason i love this movie is because it shows the deep strong love between 2 people, just like you can find in "the crow", and "Natural born killers" which also is some of my favorites.
the story is somewhat true, but with some elements just to show what kind if person he was, and how people looked at him.

IF you dont know anything about sexpistols or Sid, i would recomend that you watched it - they were important to the music scene back then - perhaps just as important as beetles, just without the huge amount of fans.

Had a long cinema evening on saturday.

R.I.P.D. 4/10 The boring little brother of Men in Black. Obvious twists and a bad script.
White House Down 8/10 A decent Die Hard clone with some really funny scenes, a nice protagonist duo (even though the president often acts kinda out of character) and Roland Emmerichs typical style. Only real criticism I have is that the villains were kinda dumb. They should have could the president at least a dozen times. And the ending revealing the true mastermind was too obvious, because it could just have been the one person it was.

    World War Z 8/10

I was surprised at how good that movie was. Really wish I had seen it in the cinema, but I was afraid it would be just another disaster porn movie.

    The Thing (1982) 8.5/10

It holds up really well. I really liked it.

    Riddick (New film) - 7/10.
I liked Riddick (the character) since I 1st watched "Pitch Black" and its follow-up ~30 mins long animated film.
The 2nd motion picture (2004) was bloody horrible though (3/10 from me), and this new film, returning to the origins of the series, redeems the brand (somewhat) for me, and leaves room for another sequel.

    Yay.

    6/10, was funny.

Evil Dead - 7/10 - horror with dead people that aren't actually dead and utter mindfuck.

Saw a bunch of movies this weekend:

    World War Z - 5/10

Low score simply because it was probably the worst movie ive seen with brad pitt in it which
made me really disappointed. His movies are generally solid 7-8+ but this was nowhere near that.
The obvious pro-israel propaganda sort of took away a little from the focus also.

    Drinking Buddies - 7/10

Cozy and relaxed indie-ish movie about some colleagues at a brewery. Genuine and heartwarming.

    Oblivion - 6/10

Got pretty much what i expected. Was hoping for more mindfuck-moments but didnt get it.

    Kick Ass 2 - 7/10

Loved the first one, loved the seconds one. Obviously not as good as the first but still stood its ground.

    The Worlds Ends - 7/10

Classic Simon Pegg movie. Enjoyed it alot since it had most of the ingredients i love with movies.
Clever comedy, interesting story, nice plot twists and a good ending.

Riddick, good 7/10. Actiony, violent..y(??). Been a fan of Twohy for a while, including Pitch Black and so on. I'd put it behind Pitch Black, but ahead of Chronicles.
