So I got a new table for my microwave

Done through ~4 days with the little freetime I have with work, school & gaming, along with social activities.

Before, took me ~3-4 hours to get it up and running again


Been wanting to assemble the table for a few months, finally got the nerves to do it once a friend offered to help me assemble it. Also switched from wall-mounted to desk-mounted 3 monitor stand, getting 2x more Korean monitors next month

I've got:
1x Achieva Shimian 2560x1440 korean monitor
2x ASUS MW221U 1680x1050
1x Xerox XM7 1680x1050 (Currently not being used)
1x Samsung S22B 1920x1080

I plan to replace the 2x ASUS monitors with a QNIX & a Yamakasi monitor

Wow, I am extremely interested in those Korean monitors. I have been debating whether to get 120+Hz or IPS but it seems I can have the best of both worlds with one of those.

Out of the 3 you listed, which would you say is best? And does yours have any dead pixels? I could not bear even 1 dead pixel off in the corner it would drive me nuts.

yeah, but "korean" generally refers to off brand B and C grade panels

well that depends on how you define that and what you expect from the screen.
from what i've heard the screens can be just as good as say a dell one.
they are just more basic, only one connector no buttons to adjust certain screen settings etc.
could it be a limiting factor maybe but it doesn't have to be.

They're very good for the price, you save a chunk of money while having little to no issues in most cases

So, found a couple of photos on my phone from when I reversed the airflow and upgraded my Steambox's graphics card. Thought I would post some pictures if anyone else is interested in small form factor but can't get their head around how to build as compact as possible without turning it into a heatbox.

Specs:
Asus P8Z77I-Deluxe WD - Intel Core i7-3770K (4.5Ghz) - 8GB Kingston HyperX 1600mhz CL9 - Asus GTX770 DCUII (1275/7400) - WD Caviar Blue 1TB - Samsung 840 250GB - Corsair CX 600W - Fractal Design Node 304 - Corsair H60

The H60 is configured in push/pull drawing air from the back, for this job 2 Noctua NF-F12's are used, both running at a constant 700RPM. Both front fans have reversed airflow and the PSU also helps out pulling the hot air from the gpu out. Temps are as following: CPU 31 Idle, 70 load - GPU 26 Idle, 79 Load (gpu boost 2.0) - System 26 Idle, 44 Load.

It's impossible to make a fully clean build, but making sure the airflow is optimal is still key. The box ain't see-through anyway.

Sure took alot of cable strips to get everything like this.

If you are attempting a similar build, this is the best configuration I've found so far. I'm still playing with the idea of watercooling this rig.... I almost got it scetched up even with measures, part list and all.

Have you tried temperature difference between only pull? Because I doubt there's a lot of them; Then again, I guess the other fan is left out on a whole. I'd have liked a thicker 120mm rad personally, if you have motherboard clearance.
Otherwise, I quite like small form-factor builds.

I've heard the CX series get a lot of flack as far as longevity goes. By the looks of it, swapping out the PSU if the CX does die off wouldn't be very fun.

I had an H80 in there prior to going back to the H60. It fits quite well actually but since it can only use 1 fan due to space, the rad gets kinda superheated by the gpu and it actually gives far worse temps. This very cabinet was really tricky to get as cool as a bigger tower but it was alot of fun perfecting it.

The CX600W was chosen due to size and longevity actually. I build alot of computers, I fix alot of computers for people as well. In my book the CX series is not really any more problematic than other PSU's. Should it die and I have to do everything all over again I believe I would actuallyt enjoy that lol.

Keep in mind you can swap those keys out, Corsair throw in the "normal" WASD keys as well (I'm pretty sure).

a quick thought i had on mine: (i have two models with MX Blues switches)

new K70 the switches look like MXBlues, but i think they are fake, they don't sound or feel like real blues, and some are just tactile, no click sound

overall, it feels made as cheap as possible, there is not consistent sound across the board, nor consistent feel between keys, its very disappointing, and given the issues i had receiving them, i've not been impressed by corsair, and am leaning towards staying away from their products for the time being

redid my loop really quick, decided to take a quick pic, only going with one titan in this build for now till mid nov, might sell the other titan, might end up keeping it, who knows:P
