Xal'atoh, Desecrated Image of Gorehowl - Whispers

Hello everyone! \o/
I wanted to ask arround if someone, who also has this wonderful weapon, knows if you can hear the whispers when mogging the weapon into another weapon OR mogging another weapon to Xal'atoh. (Wowhead and almighty Google and such didn't really give a concrete answer.)
Xal'atoh > other weapon - Voices Y/N?
Other weapon > Xal'atoh - Voices Y/N?
I started to rewrite all my macros and WeakAuras yesterday night, just to hear the whispers, which apparently don't exist in the german client. (And I kinda got sick of the german voices I guess).

As far as I know the weapon works similar to the Corrupted Ashbringer, you can only hear the whispers while having equipped the original weapon.

Holy crap, Xal'atoh does talk? Here I thought I was just hearing emotes from other people or random NPCs talking.

Well, in that case then I can say the weapon does talk if you transmog it into something else. I got the axe, immediately transmogged it and still heard the voices(even if I'm just now realizing that they were coming from the axe). As for still hearing it when you transmog a weapon into it, I couldn't say.

Well but atleast I can confirm now, that the weapon only whispers to you, if you wield it.
You can transmogg it to another weapon and it still whispers to you
but
If you transmogg another weapon into Xal'atoh you won't hear a thing.

Yeah that's the first whisper I got "You should kill them all..you MUST kill them all" while waiting for the next raid. Love this weapon.

Sorry for any slight necro, but how often does this effect occur. I had my sounds on but for some reason it just did not happen even went onto a training dummy and after 5mins still no whisper (sound wise im aware its not text).

Anyone have any ideas?

It can take quite some time until it whispers. I have two of them equipped (or had until I got my HC Sha sword this ID), which increases the number of whispers, and still it sometimes took about an hour between whispers.
