Well eventually all will my friend, but I tend to give every x-pac the benefit of the doubt. So far I haven't been let down.

I don't want time-travel. MoP was the "filler" expansion that gave us breathing room after three expansions all about stopping big bads. A time-travel expansion will be just more filler, and Blizzard even said MoP was the "calm before the storm."

Warlords of Draenor should be about rediscovering lost fragments of Draenor and the Burning Legion proper, otherwise I'll be pretty disappointed.

I've said it since Friday. Time travel will be the end of my subscription. There is a 0% chance they can make the story work in a way that doesn't turn into a direct and deliberate bait and switch. You pay them $30, and they laugh as you paid them for a FILLER.

In the end, I think all the leaks to date have been 100% wrong. Even the OP's leak.

For months fans have been eagerly anticipating the Burning Legion's return. Blizzard surely acknowledges that Mists of Pandaria, while a great expansion, never overcame its "lel kung fu panda" image among consumers, and dwindling subscriptions plus low expansion sales is testament to that.

Players want a return to more epic conflict. After all the hints Wrathion dropped throughout MoP regarding the Legion, making time-travel the focus (and thus delaying the central conflict of WoW for another two years) would likely kill subscription numbers.

I agree with you.

But I think they're going to fuck up anyway - because they're Blizzard, and they do that.

My point is that people do this every expac reveal (other than TBC, because the game was too new at that time to cultivate this much nerdrage from new releases). And it usually ends up true anyway.

People are denying things because they don't want 'em, not because they won't happen. Everyone will see tomorrow.

In the event I'm wrong, I still win, because I don't want to be.

This just in: People who won't quit a MMORPG over its story are vegetables.

Get off your high horse and realize Blizzard isn't stupid enough to hold their game prisoner to developing an intricate story. Creating a setting that gives them a decently sized sandbox to work with is what matters from expansion to expansion. That's an important point that a lot of people utterly fail to understand.
