    Merging universes and characters

As a way to solve any real dilemma with what could occur with certain characters, would a merging be possible to overwrite characters should they step into our Prime universe?

The whole movie of "The One" probably explains it better for those who remember it. Basic summary was a fugitive went around killing alternate versions of himself since doing so would allow him to absorb that person and their power since the soul of people were split by the multitudes of multiverses. So by killing them one by one you increase your chances of being the only "One" who has that power within them.

So could the same be possible if we wanted to take certain people back to our universe? Durotan and Yrel for example. While it doesn't have to be done with death as the way to acquire these people, they could always merge characters should they step into the Prime Universe where we come from. If we took Durotan back with us and he were to step forth into Azeroth Prime then the spirit of the deceased Prime Durotan would be absorbed into AU Durotan. His memory would have the combination of whatever we're going to put AU Durotan through along with the Prime Durotan so he wouldn't be so confused.

The idea probably won't work with planets so Outland Prime still stands while AU Draenor stands as well.

That sounds like an awful idea, it would raise more questions than it solved
they can just both exist at once, that's kind of confusing but less confusing than this suggestion...

And honestly Velen is the only character that's going to look and act the same in both incarnations anyway

Plus you'd have shit like "Yeah! We befriended these warlords! Let's bring them home!"
"I've suddenly remembered that I, Ner'Zhul, am the Lich King"
"And we all drank demon blood even though there was just an expansion about how we didn't"

Frankly, time travel and alternate realities should never have been introduced. They should never have had a Bronze dragonflight.

From whatever we saw him doing in the trailer, it was more then what he did during Rise of the Horde which was absolutely nothing.

i liked bronze dragon flgiht stuff for letting us see stuff that happened before wow, like hyjal battle, Arthas purging Stratholme etc. they were pretty cool.

Blizzard isn't interested in telling that story. We're going to explore Draenor as it was prior to WarCraft 1, not time travel or dimension travel shenanigans.

Ok, I will give you that. If they just took slices out of time to show us things and we didn't actually effect the future or past, that is fine. Alternate realities is kinda dumb.

Worked well for Infinite Crisis in DC.

DC Comics disagrees highly with you. It can work.

This isn't a comic. This is an MMORPG that is trying to tell a cohesive story. Comics can do that since they never have to connect with each other and can be stand alone stories. Everything in WoW has to connect.

All comics do connect with one another. The stand alone arcs are the dealings of whoever that comic name belongs to. Batman's enemies usually only target Gotham because that's the local area and they generally do not want to face a god-like alien a couple cities away. That's about as stand alone as you get with comics. WoW quests are no different yet they all link up one way or another.
