Necrotic Plague
Passive.
A powerful disease that deals 100 damage per stack every 3 sec for 30 sec. Each time it deals damage, it gains 1 stack, and jumps to another nearby target if possible. Cannot be spread by Pestilence.
Replaces Blood Plague.
Would someone please explain why this talent is worth taking? The way I see it, (despite number squish) a 100 tick is disappointing at level 100. It would only tick for an average of 500 dmg per tick over 30 sec. if left undispelled. It would only infect a 3rd mob after the 6th sec. if not dispelled from the 1st target. the first target gets a 300 tick, 2nd target gets a 200 tick, and 3rd target gets a 100 tick. Blood Plague could be ticking on every mob by the 2nd sec. Using either plague, Pestilence would be used to spread Frost Fever anyway (unless you're frost). After a long ramp up of 30 sec. the 1000 dmg only ticks once before disappearing (if mob doesn't die or dispel first) before reapplication at 1 stack.
It takes far too long to spread and ramp up then dissipates immediately upon peaking. In comparison, how much would Blood Plague tick for? Against numerous adds (especially short lived ones during aoe burn phases), it would be a dps loss since it couldn't spread or build. Against a single boss or elite, you'd have to reapply. What is the benefit of Necrotic Plague? It seems to be a hindrance.
