Ha. Who am I kidding? That will never happen, but a huge fan could hope for a MMO in that universe, developed and launched without pressure from EA or whatever. Unlike the pressure to release SWToR.

    And I will keep hoping.

Yes, this was random and out-of-the-blue, because there have been, as I recall, no talks about a ME MMO whatsoever. Just saying that if it were ever to be made, and well-developed/finished, I would leave WoW for it forever, unless they really go the SWToR way again.

You think i would support it?
I would be the first one to phone them up and yell at them.

    We have discussed it earlier.
It was a dark sight to behold.

    Ah, shame I missed it.

And no, I didn't think you would support it. I would, though.

Though, it was a misquote. It was more or less meant to be a response on your "MMO of the century" claim.

So if MENext is piggy backing off of the DA:I engine. That means they should be quite far in development. I mean, if they already have playable versions of it. Time table for most of BioWare's games suggest Early 2015 for it.

No it obviously means that the games will be identical.

DA:I will end with a cliff hanger, MENext will be showing Shepard ending up in Ferelden with the old Lancer that overheats. He will conquer Thedas and create an army to conquer the universe. Thus merging the universes of DA and ME.

I'm not looking foward this next mass effect game..To me 1-3 is where it's at.

I mean, how can you make 3 games across many years, building memorable characters over time, only to scrap all that, deliver an unspeakably bad ending, ignore all the players complaints for as long as possible only to release an "extended ending" dlc which was super rushed and contained just some poor voiceovered slideshows and not much else.

"Well, based on 1 of the endings shepard is alive, they'll fix everything next game!" Nope, just to ice the shit cake they just scrap all the memorable characters people learned to love so that they can start a brand new thing that has nothing to do with shepard.

    Sigh..how to destroy a franchise 101

Due to the financial failure, aswell as the company brand controversy, of ME3. I am surprised that they still try to keep the franchise alive.

It was so ridiculous i almost feel somebody held a gun over the head of bioware's CEO, and told him to mess the franchise up. I mean, they said that they were working hard so that the end wouldn't be something like "pick one of the endings" and that's exactly what we got, so ironic.

Many other game studios would kill to have a franchise as rich as mass effect, and they just blew it. It amazes me even now.

EA, different people on the team, and gears of war.

Even better when you play Deus Ex; HR and get to the ending(s).

Brand controversy agreed, but im not so sure id call it a financial failure, they made hundreds of millions of dollars on said game.

This does not classify as "bad" about ME3 specifically since all three games have GoW combat.

Besides, I belong to the minority that thinks that the ending was good actually. Yes, it is illogical and confusing. But it is probably the most emotional ending I have ever seen in both video games and movies. Especially with Extended Cut. They really kicked it with the music and cinematic. It is definitely better than in other Bioware games with their generic happy ends.
