If they change the engine the amount of stuff that would break would be immense, they've been developing the game constantly for over 10 years with the current engine in mind.

Though they've made some rather stupid decisions with mechanics, with stuff like shaman's multi target healing split to even more targets with ascendance.

Half year old PC could mean alot of things, you'll have to be more specific.
3930K & Titan? FX-6300 & 7790? Console is not meant to challenge a high end PC.

    So you mean a Ps4 should outperform a Ps3?

You really don't seem to understand the purpose of consoles - they've been underpowered compared to PCs for ages, but the point is that the hardware won't change at all between generations, making optimisation easier. They're also hassle-free to use, pop the disk in and play. Generally you do get better looking games for the same hardware. Though now it's somewhat different since this generation consoles are, from the beginning, sold at a profit, whereas they only profited from games and accessories in the previous gen.

    That, or you're a troll.

You seem to know nothing about consoles, so why do you open your mouth?

they are underpowered in terms of raw power. power they don't need because they have an OS optimized to their hardware and only few background programms are running.

    Not sure if serious.

    Start the console.
    Update the console.
    register the console.
    log in / create account.
    put in play disc.
    install game.
    update game.

    play the game.

    yep, hassle-free.

thats why most games run at 1080p@30fps or with lower resolution?

Majority of the people who buy consoles couldn't care less about 1080p@60fps. And yes, that is rather hassle free compared to PC and people generally find playing from a sofa with a controller more appealing. Predictably you'll reply that this is possible with a PC as well, and yes I am aware of that, that is why I do it myself instead of owning a console. The things you mentioned are done only on initial boot, or couple of times a month. Updates are automated in the sense that you don't have to adjust anything, just wait for a bar to fill up.

PCs and consoles are different animals and should be treated as such, not as competitors. It is also off-topic and this is my last reply to this thread regarding consoles.
