Yaaay another SP2500 owner. First time I've seen the Xonar U7 though, didn't even know Asus had a USB DAC.

You didn't know? Cyanotical has the Xonar Essence ONE... the $600 beast. Then there are tiny little guys that are much more affordable, like the U3 and U7.

Love the SP2500, magnificent sound for a PC speaker set. Quite pleased with the U7 aswell.

Yeah cable bundeling needs to be done, gonna get some velcro strips or something.
As for the colourscheme, I have tried quite hard to keep everything black & red. I've considered modding my naga aswell as the leds in my keyboard to get red lights there aswell. And check to see if its possible to recolour the mousepad ;P
The green just doesnt feel right ya know.

That U7 could really power some fantastic headphones/speakers though, I am sure. Should look into it!

Kind of annoyed all they say on their website is it has a headphone amp... is it a 300 ohm? 600 ohm? No clue.

Afaik it's 32-150 ohm

Yeah, weak headphone amp, a shame, but at least it has one. =S

The benefit of USB DACs though is it separates all audio-processing from the inside of your computer, which I am finding is quite large, especially when you start using really much nicer stuff/studio equipment.

I've heard they run a little hotter and it isn't a BIG difference from Ivy Bridge so I thought I might as well do ivy on this build and save Haswell for a full form ATX with dual SLI on my next build.

Yes they run hotter, but they produce less heat.

Your CPU cooler looks mounted in the wrong way, looking at how the cable is attached to the fan it looks like you are pushing air down on the cooler.

Thats a pretty huge upgrade, especially for WoW.
Your heatsink need to be placed so It moves the air outside the case. (to the left)

The temperatures don't really seem to be wrong or something like that. It gives me max 42dgC on Ultra in Shrine on my server, watching all the people standing there. Did some skyrim recording as well, max temp ever reached was 45dgC. Idle temps are at 25-30dgC.

I'll probably "fix it" the next time I dismantle everything. Mounting that cooler was a pain in the ass, and I've just finished dealing with the set yesterday.

just set the cooler to suck air and blow out from the top? easy fix

Sounds good Criiz, but you might want to buy some new fans for that H100i in the future.
Also, you should not really be concerned about upgrading any time soon.

He is probably assuming you know that stock fans are kinda loud and not the best performance compared to custom fans but I agree the comment is a little vague.

s for your upgrade question, your motherboard doesn't support SLI.

Ye I get you, I'll probably see how it goes, noise/performance wise then upgrade the stock fans in a few months. When you say stock fans are loud, we talking like the sound of a turbofan engine starting up or a little rumble?
