It's been possible to solo him for a while, and the mount only drops in 25HC.

I have no Screeines but Ashes of A'lar and Onyxian Drake both dropped for me the same day and I had logged less than 10 kills on each of them. get Anzu a few weeks later after only a couple tries as well.

I got aeonaxx after the superbowl and got MY TLPD!!

I came back from a set after lifting, and it flew by me. another dude was literally 10 seconds behind it

I stumbled on Aeonaxx on my druid about 2 weeks ago when she was 82 and just flew out of the Temple and BAM, there he was. I managed to hop on and start the right just a minute or 2 before another in-zone player had his NPCScan go off.

Onyxian drake is one of the rarest mounts in the game. Or at least it was up till MoP, I don't know how much Black Market thingie affected the mount.

I don't think BMAH has any effect on mount rarity. Not even 1%, except maybe the plagued drake? Cause it's like 1 mount a year for each server, that isn't much.

It's just everyone can solo ony, so more people get it. Just same with ashes of al'ar, was rare until Cata, then everyone went and solo'd it.

Currently Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent is the rarest mount in-game(not including the mounts that were removed in 1.4 or 1.6 during classic) and I'm lucky to have it. ^^

But yeah don't got any screenshots of any mount drops I've had cause my old WoW directory got lost with my old hard drive that crashed. But I'll submit one if Yogg, LK or Alysrazor decide to drop one for me.

Azure Drake.

Same drop change as Blue, at least according to Wowhead, and seemingly on a separate roll from the Blue, as there are "many" accounts of both on the same kill.
